I love how many different characters Flowery tries to embody in his goal to be this perfect companion for Asgore. Obviously Rudy is the most prominent, but he also initiates activities that invoke the idea of his kids like the cowboy show. At the same time, he directly parallels he and Toriel’s current dynamic outright. But despite being in Asgore’s usual position of the dynamic he still tries to emulate Toriel, giving him the pie and having the Chairery. He’s the long time best friend, the admiring son-figure and the doting partner but also none of these things specifically. He’s Asgore’s Family. He wants Asgore to get to have all of these things all at once, and he wants to be able to provide any type of care he could need. Drives me CRAZY.

thinking about the survival logbook. mike seeing one of michael’s old journals or sketchbooks that he left out and being unable to resist temptation. carefully opening it and flipping through it and finding the inside…blood-splattered, several pages soaked with it and now thick and wrinkled and crusty, dried near black. some pages full of perfectly neat handwriting, others full of nonsensical scrawling trailing off into complete illegibility. shaky drawings of terrifying animatronic monsters with too many jaws. a blood-splattered page with “i’m sorry father” written over and over and over again until he ran out of space. a page full of a list of things that michael did “wrong” over the course of a day or week, a ledger kept against himself and plans for how to punish himself. a page of rules set by william, written reverently and neatly like biblical commandments. countless drafts for letters to vanessa, full of apologies and desperation and “please come home, i promise i’ll be good”, some of them scribbled out so violently the pages tore.
