another autism tip for anyone who might find it useful: make earrings out of your loop earplugs!
earplugs/earbuds like these tend to fall out for me no matter what size i wear. (that’s why i have “wired” wireless earbuds too lol) so if they’re attached to my ears, i can’t lose them! not only that, but it makes it easier for me to take them on and off as needed without having to put them back into the case every time. yes you can get that loop link thing but. €20? for that? this is way cheaper and way more fashionable
my loops #myloops
not to shill for a product but these have been honestly really awesome. i've been having earphones in as much as possible since i was in high school, and it's only really in the past year that i've realised it's not actually because i want to be listening to music 24/7, it's at least partially or even mostly because i am overstimulated by sound easily and want to block it out. other earplugs aren't very comfortable for me but these have been awesome so far
Rip regulus black you would of loved loop earplugs
My parents agreed to buying me loop earplugs what is this character development

I have been considering getting a pair of loop earplugs, does anyone have experience with them and some thoughts to share?
why do I get 90000 ads for loop earplugs a day when I've bought them and they block out NOTHING?? "Filters sounds"=does nothing. "Complete silence"=blocks maybe 1% of all sound
I say your post and now have a somewhat unrelated question: Do loop ear plugs work? I’ve only had any luck with silicone ones with the three layers but by an hour in they start to hurt my ears and it’s really hard to find an unbiased answer on if they actually work well!
(And I refuse to buy any until I know because they’re (functionally) two billion dollars and I don’t have that kind of money)
This is a yap so tldr I really love my loop quiet 2 and would recommend them but I am unable to give you a proper review comparing them to other earplugs or even to other types of loop earplugs. [Also maybe the "overall" is a better tldr than this but icba to edit this post any longer]
I personally really love my loop quiet 2 ones but i also would not be able to compare them to many other earplugs well because i dislike the texture of them in my ear and theyre hard to get in (probably because i have pretty tiny ears). There are definitely higher noise muffling ones on the market that you might be able to get for even ceaper idk- but i do really love mine. Theyre very easy to put on (and im using the loop link with them so im not scared about losing them and its very easy for me to just take one out for example without having to worry about putting it back in the case) and i find it very helpful in many scenarios- but i also occasionally meed to put my noise canceling headphones on top of that if its still too loud and am considering buying proper over the head hearing protection for those scenarios instead.
I'd say it really depends on just how much you're sensitive to sounds and need the muffling... for me it's usually enough. [I find it enough for busy streets and roads in the city or for a loud restaurant for example, but not enough for loud music outside in parties or pride parades which is the main reason im looking into proper hearing protection. I can't remember if they're enough for the airport]
I also have the loop dream which i like less because its the same struggle as i have with squeezing the foam in foam earplugs to insert and you can't really just twist it in like the other loop types. Also when i need them to sleep its misophonia related and while they do muffle the noise they dont make it go away which is what i needed. [i did see they have double sillicon tips for the loop dream now so i might get those to try them out but i doubt it'll be enough for what i need from it for sleep.]
I have the mclaren loop switch 2 too which i have not properly tried so i cant really review them. Their actual loop part is bulkier and harsher than the quiet 2 ones so it feels weirder in my small ears but again i have not given it a proper trial to tell you how they are.
Overall i really like my quiet 2 pair - mainly for their easy application, the convince of the loop link, the fact that silicon is much easier to clean than foam, and they are enough for me in most scenarios, but i dont have enough proper experience with other types to tell you whether its the same level as noise reducing. They don't hurt my ears but I think it might be because they are soft and all of the other types other than the quiet and the dream have a rougher loop part so it might not be the same with them.
*also i noticed that if i lighlty press on my (quiet 2) loops when they're in my ears it makes the noise reduction significantly higher so idk if it means im using a tip too small or is just the whole design being a tiny bit too short for that or something. So like if it happening only when being pressed on is a user error than its significantly higher noise reduction than ive been selling it as (and regardless i should really try pressing on it like that in the next loud music scenario where its otherwise not muffling enough).
