β¨This is one of the most recognisable book covers everΒ released. Designed in 1925 and the bookβs first cover, it was painted by Francis Cugat and titledΒ βCelestial Eyes.βΒ Β I love it, always have, and hopefully will one day find a secondhand copy of it. Howeverβ¦.
β¨I didnβt knowΒ this little bit of trivia - inΒ each iris, there is aΒ floating, naked woman.
Why?Β No explanation has ever been discovered!
