Every time I think I've seen or heard peak innuendo in climbing, something comes along and shows me how wrong I was.

"Forever must be a long fall cause it's how I feel falling for you, into your eyes, your smile.."

More of an emotional whump trope but: The villain has the vial of antidote, or fragile macguffin in their grasp, or the hero’s best friend, family member, loved one, the hostage, etc., dangling over a precipice. Cornered, the villain smirks and drops the precious person or object with a sarcastic, “Oops.” Hero diving desperately for the save, and the much darker mistake if they fail.
