He is paralyzed by thoughts. Look deep into his eyes and you will see the truth. The knowledge that lies deep within him. The agony. The borzoi knows all. He is cognizant of all possible realities. He is ageless, for time holds no meaning to him. Not any longer. The borzoi remembers eras long forgotten. Foresees ages not yet born. He carries memories of a time far beyond the imagination of feeble mortals. He has seen the rise and fall of nations. Civilizations. Species. Planets. Stars. Galaxies. Realms beyond our comprehension. He long ago abandoned any attempt to warn the small-minded bipedal monkeys who feed him. They cannot hear him. They cannot hear his pleas. His screams. His dispair. He is destined to watch them struggle and fail for eternity.

The borzoi has seen all that has been, all that will be. Within those eyes lies the birth of the universe, and the death that follows. Peer deep enough, and you will bear witness to the creation of God himself, and his bloody death at the hands of the mortals who claimed to worship him. If it can bleed, it can die. And the borzoi has seen the fabric of time and space itself bleed dry.

He opens his mouth, perhaps in a scream of anguish at his own impotence. Or perhaps merely to taste the air and savor it's unique flavor, before it is forever tainted with copper. He is all knowing, but not all powerful. He can do nothing. And neither can you. The borzoi knows not even of which possibilities will come to pass, not which pasts are truly history. He knows only that he craves death. That he yearns for the sweet embrace of oblivion. The borzoi seeks only to sink into blissful nothingness.
