i personally think it’s REALLY FUNNY to imagine that mario doesn’t recognize him (i also kinda like to think that because it really sets the tone for luigis letters to mario in colour splash. like the ones where he is constantly reminding mario who he is? lmao) but realistically (unfortunately) he would know 😔
to me mr. L is a little too much of a comic relief character for me to really look in depth on how his existence affects the heroes ???? and even then i never really saw him as a hateful or angry enough character that him killing the heroes was like. an actual possibility ??? but i see where you’re coming from.
i like to think of the mr. L fights as like. yaknow how in some cartoons when they do the "slow motion tearful reunion" but halfway through one of the characters starts frowning and goes to punch the other one instead of hugging them? like that
