i’m a sucker for the innocent and shy touches that go into getting together. for example when one of the kids win a race, josefine’s hand immediately finding george’s would make my heart go CRAZY!!! or when they go on an actual first date to somewhere small and intimate (i can imagine the look henrik and ivy give one another when their parents mention that they’re “going out”) that leads to smth similar to their first night 🥺🥺 i also just wanna see george spoil josefine once they do decide to date properly (even though i know she would protest every time) because i think she deserves the world and george can give her that (i love josefine sm if you can’t alr tell; she might be MOTHER but i feel maternal over her im gonna be so honest)

and YES!! i love that first period idea. ivy finding a mother figure in josefine is so dear to me, in the same way henrik finds a father figure in george. it’s why i loved the part where josefine braided ivy’s hair and i’m gonna imagine that ivy thinks of josefine’s hairstyles as her lucky hairstyles every time she gets them for race day. anyway, i find it so cute that ivy’s first period becomes a little secret between the two of them and how they can bond over all things girlhood. i think there’s only so much george can understand as a single dad haha.

and i think once they’re serious, i would love to see george introduce her to his friends. i know i know it’s a romcom cliche but i love it so im thinking it.

as for the henrik dad idea, it would probably happen when henrik is in f3/f2 as that’s probably when racers start picking up some fame. with one of the feature races being in zandvoort, i think henrik’s dad would probably try to show up to the paddock, trying to get in by saying he’s henrik’s family member. this is just one idea but there might be other ways i just can’t think of right now. most importantly, i’m just imagining josefine just holding back (albeit terribly) on going off on him because she knows he’s not worth all the scolding but all the betrayal she probably felt when he just left them has to go somewhere. and yk, some good old hurt/comfort from george was what i was thinking. but the idea isn’t fully developed so this is just what i have.

It makes me SOO happy that you love Josefine though :') It's so hard in fandoms, I find, for people to care about OC writing. It's either x-reader only or ship fics only, no in between. My OC writing always does far poorer than my x-reader stuff. So I'm cherishing the fact that you feel almost maternal about her because that's so rewarding to me!! Means I did something right...and thankful that you gave her a chance x

But omg their first proper date! I never even thought about that. Something so lowkey but just the two of them (which is rare because their kids are ALWAYS around) and maybe that first date the kids don't know about it because they're trying to just take it so slow. But, yeah, eventually when they date more, go out more, once the kids know, they get lots of little looks and teasing from the kids lol. Probably even go out for a weekend somewhere some time...George books an expensive hotel in London for just the two of them and doesn't tell her until they get there. That would be a sweet lil weekend (or...not so sweet iykyk 👀)

Exactly the way you put it: finding a mother figure in her, but also an important first step in allowing their families to begin to blend outside of just racing. OBSESSED with your Henrik's dad idea. I was literally thinking about it in the car today (while anxiously itching to FINALLY answer this ask properly!!!!) and how it would play out. That would be so telling for all of their characters fr omg. My brain is SPINNING thinking about it!! We love mama bear Josie x or poor Henrik having a momentary existential crisis realizing who that man was... and Ivy being there and somehow being the one to kinda talk to Henrik and calm his panic/freak out [because Josefine is busy back down in the paddock cussing him out]
