On the other hand, in my opinion, meta analysis that includes thoughtful criticism and invites discussion shouldn’t be off limits in a place where people go to find discussion. That is just my opinion, and because I know that is not what a lot of people are in fandom for, I use a “[thing] critical” tag so people can easily block it if they don’t want to see it, and I consider that a fair compromise. There is no way everything in the main tag for a fandom is going to appeal to everyone at all times, but pretty much everyone can find a simple way to make their posts avoidable.
