I can’t believe it’s the end of the week, I had a lot of fun doing these and reading others that were posted! 

Well, this shouldn’t take long! So last summer I had a bad accident, and due to it, I wasn’t able to walk for months and was put on bed rest. I’ve had people say, oh it must be great to get to do nothing all day... yeah it was great for about the first 48 hours, then you start getting major cabin fever. It’s one thing when you choose to stay inside, knowing you can go out any time you want. It’s another when you can’t walk and have no choice but to stay inside 24/7 for roughly 4 months.

So I went through my normal, watch movies, play games, watch Netflix and was about to die from boredom. I had VLD on my watch list, but for some reason, it never popped into my head to actually watch it. So a friend on Tumblr told me that I should really watch it, it was a great show, and I would enjoy it. So I gave it a go, and was instantly hooked! I think I binged watched it - and then another part came out, so I binged watched it again. Now, I’m the one suggesting it to people and if I remember correctly, I’ve gotten two others hooked on it lol. So that was how I got watching Voltron... and as for Sheith. It was a given from the first time I watched it, roughly 10 minutes into episode one. When I saw this,

I fell in love with Keith (who happens to be my favorite but is very, very, very closely followed by Shiro.), cuz who can’t love a man who entered the show kicking ass first thing. Then when I saw this,

my little heart just fluttered with feelings for these two guys! The concern in Keith’s voice and on his face when he realizes that it’s Shiro... omg I could have died from fluff overload - it was so loving and full of concern for him. Then this happened,

and I was gone! Just bury me now, Sheith is officially my VLD life. These two need to be happy, loved and protected forever. So yea, I was basically Pro-Sheith the moment Keith kicked Iverson and two others in the face to rescue Shiro!  <3

Shiro is the Paladin of Air, and Keith is the Paladin of Fire. 

Fire needs Air to survive, to maintain itself, to burn brighter and to spread farther. Fire can get out of hand, becoming an inferno, and the wind can manipulate it no matter the size. Shiro is always there, stoking the flames, but making sure (for the most part) that Keith stays in control. Moves with the group, and works together with the others. 

Without Air, Fire fades away and dies out. It doesn’t have anything to sustain it. Which can be seen when Shiro is gone, and Keith is set on finding him. Looking for the air that will stoke the flames in him. It might be nothing and just a coincidence but I think, it speaks a lot about their relationship. 

Keith is always there, protecting Shiro. Shiro is always there stoking the flames in Keith and nurturing the control he needs to be a good leader. It shows how Shiro and Keith’s lives are so intertwined. I think they need one another to feel whole, or normal, whatever you wanna call it. Without Shiro, I think Keith would end up burnt out and fade away. He wouldn’t have that presence in his life that supported him and recognized the good in him. That obviously had a substantial impact on Keith, he even says - without Shiro his life would have been a lot different. 

That is a considerable impact to have on someone, basically changing the course of their life. These two need each other, no matter how you look at it. They have a bond that can’t be broken. You can see it in the way they just look at one another and can surmise what the other is thinking. You can see it in all the times Keith has saved Shiro’s life and never gives up on him.

I guess my thought is rather simple. Shiro, in the little book about him, calls Keith an old (very old?) friend. Keith said that Shiro was the only person who never gave up on him. They honestly seem inseparable - and whatever is going on with Shiro now (clone, mind control etc) it seems Keith has been driven away on purpose. They knew if Keith was around he would have noticed right off the bat. Honestly, I think he suspected before he left, but thought he was just seeing things.

So my thought - I think, (is there anything saying differently?) that these two know one another from before the Garrison. I think Shiro is the whole reason Keith joined in the first place. I think Keith followed him there, and Shiro encouraged it because he knew he’d be a wonderful pilot. This is a childhood friendship that had turned into an unrequited love for one another. Neither knows how to express that to the other, so they just keep doing them - which is such an obvious love that they are oblivious to the others feelings lol.

My favorite Sheith fic?! This is so very hard because there are so many people and fics that I am just in awe over. Hng, how can I do this... ok, well, in the end, I decided to go back and post one of the very first fics that I read that got me into Sheith - then I couldn’t decide between two of the very first fics I read. So, you get two! XD
