Happy birthday! Hoje de manhã tivemos um culto de aniversário. Três crianças da igreja completaram mais um ano de vida. Foi o primeiro aniversário timorense com comemoração que eu participei, eu até tinha dúvidas se as pessoas faziam alguma celebração. Cantamos, oramos, meditamos em Provérbios 3.16, cantamos mais um pouco e depois cantamos o "parabéns" em indonésio e em português. Na foto 5 você vai ver as três crianças, depois de assoprarem as velas, cortando o bolo. Nas fotos seguintes você vai ver o aniversariante mais velho dando bolo na boca dos pais e avós das três crianças. Dar comida é uma gratidão e um compromisso. Os pais sustentam os filhos e agora, ao dar o bolo, o filho retribui,mas também se compeomete a dar de comer aos pais quando precisarem. No casamento também, os noivos dão de comer e beber aos pais e depois um ao outro. Aos pais, a gratidão, pois até agora eles que os sustentaram, e o compromisso de agora retribuirem. E, para com o cônjuge, o compromisso de sustentarem um ao outro. Sobre a comida, arroz à vontade, frango frito, uns miúdos de frango bem apimentados e uma sopa com verdura e pedacinhos de frango. Bolo simples, biscoito, chocolate para as crianças, água e refrigerante.
