I thought it would be fun considering this was my first time, and I often catch wedding tv shows of women showing excitement over wedding dress shopping. So, Why not? 🤷🏾‍♀️ Let’s play ‘say yes to the dress’ Trying on wedding dresses yesterday made me realize ONE THING, as much as I want something (anything), God reminds me that if I’m not ready to receive it, I’m not getting it. This is not my season. We often want to rush to walk down the aisle, but don’t want to learn on how to BE be a Spouse. I mean, do we REALLY understand marriage? It’s not about having your own, having your shit together, or saying “you’re ready for him to come.” If that was the case, it would be a lot less #spinsters walking around. #ijs It’s about YOU becoming ONE with another. You becoming one with GOD. There are many (other) factors that play into finding your match, but in the meantime, you have to prepare yourself to RECEIVE. Today, I can say I’m not there yet. Deciding on a dress was overwhelming, and I didn’t like any of them. I only liked the bridesmaid dress. 💡It made me realize that I’m not ready for marriage....spiritually, mentally, and physically.
