Day 6 has been another very active day of exploring the Aberfeldy area. We went for a morning walk after breakfast to the local church for Easter morning to have a look and see if we could enter, but they were in the middle of a service. We then went wandering back to the @mainsoftaymouthcountryestate resort before heading out to drop the dad and brother to a whiskey distillery tour of @dewarsaberfeldy which gave them a nice insight to how whiskey 🥃 was made. We then went for another walk before we had Easter dinner and we had constructed our own Easter Cabin out of @cadburyuk and @hotelchocolat chocolates which made for a very nice dessert 😊😋. It’s been a wonderful trip full of culinary adventures and beautiful scenery and experiences 😊. Tomorrow we head back for the rolling hills of Surrey. Day 5 was a day of travel where we made our first stop at a town called Falls of Dochart where we had a wander around and had a drink in The Falls of Dochart Inn which is a very old but quaint inn with stunning views of the waterfall set in an old blacksmith’s house. We then proceeded to head down to The Boathouse Kitchen & Bar in Milton Morenish, which had beautiful views of the Loch Tay. They had some delicious food on the menu and I finally got a proper pint of Lemonade instead of a tiny 200 ml bottle of premium lemonade 😊😂. After a filling lunch we finally headed down to Killin where we arrived at the Mains of Taymouth Country Estate & Golf Course which is set in the beautiful countryside of Kenmore. We had another mini adventure around the area and discovered The Kenmore Hotel, which is Scotland’s oldest hotel started in 1572 along with Kenmore church and a beautiful view of the River Tay before it flows into Loch Tay. I had a nice wee day at Loch Tay today and went to Killin too. I’m surprised at how lucky I’ve been with the weather too because it was pissing down when I left the house all the way to Killin. I think I’ve done a very good workout this morning that is possibly equal to that of a tough sprint I do like a good sprint when I can I’m not a mountain is my cup of tea but sadly not my other half but then she prefers general hiking with a crowd and I prefer my lonesome where I can do what I want within reason. No that’s one piece of equipment I’m wearing that I wasn’t sure about because normally I would’ve put on my hiking boots but my hiking boots wouldn’t have given me the versatility of these Vico barefoot shoes. Another reason I want to keep my schedule on time it’s getting to a meeting this afternoon later on in Glasgow.
