Me and my friends went to go see a local band from our area two days ago, all they did was post a video saying where it was a who was playing, my friend Alice had to comment and ask what time doors open (6:30), we get there at 6:45 because we assumed they’d still be sound checking, we did not get ID’d at the door or have anyone ask our age till around 10 mins in when we where all settled and a worker came in and asked if we where with the band.

My friend Alice said no and so she asked if we had ID, Alice asked why and she said because it’s an 18+ gig and she then says we weren’t even allowed in yet because the gig actually started at 7. We told her that no where said it was 18+ nor did anyone say it started at 7 and we told her the band told Alice it was at 6:30 doors opened. We had to leave and find another venue showing music and my friend spent 20 pounds for herself and our other 4 friends while I paid for myself to be in this venue and it turned out the actual gig started at 10, I left at 8 and had to spend more money for a train home.
