it’s party time, @loathism !
do jonghyun was a millennial through and through. he was a man of technology, depending on the internet to solve all of his problems. why would he go out of his way to find the answer to his questions when it could be found with just a few clicks on his smart phone? modern advances were amazing, and he made sure to take advantage of it every chance he got. but, as he’s recently learned since starting university, not everything can be found online. it was certainly a shock at first, spending hours at a time scouring shady websites for textbook downloads, but he had come to terms with it eventually. if he wanted to pass his music history class without borrowing books from his peers, he would need to visit the one place that he always tried to avoid: the library.
it’s not that he had anything against books; he’s read at least five in his lifetime, which he believes to be a pretty impressive number. he just doesn’t like navigating through floor to ceiling shelves of old books that smelled like his grandma’s house. it was like a maze in there, daunting and confusing. simply walking inside the building made him anxious, worried that he’d be doomed to spend the next ten hours wandering aimlessly in search of the one book he needed. if he wanted to make it out of here alive (or, at least, before dinner time), he’d need to recruit some help. and that help would hopefully come in the form of the librarian lounging at the front desk.
“um, hello,” jonghyun glanced around the room, frowning slightly at the overwhelming amount of shelves. “i need help finding a book. that’s something you can help with, right?”
