What pissed me off about the abc 20/20 documentary about Breonna is how self righteous the cops were acting when it's there fault she's dead. They had no proof she had any involvement with the guy. They purposefully falsify information. And they went after her anyway because they can because she's a person of color. And than thr judge has the audacity to blame the boyfriend when they broke into there home. I hate cops and that they can get away with shit like this. What pisses me off even more is my uncle works in a prison. We are Hispanic but he works in a prison and has a blue lives matter magnet on his door. It feels like he acts like he's white or can pass off as white at times. But I'm such a coward and I never speak up or say anything
This is why I avoid these kind of documentaries. I’m not interested in hearing the cops defending themselves or making excuses. They fucked up, they lied, they murdered an innocent woman, and they got away with it. Everyone involved is complicit. It’s shameful.
Blue Lives Matter is just racism. It wasn’t a thing at all until Black Lives Matter became a thing. It’s a way for racists to make themselves feel like they are being persecuted too. It’s transparent.
I’m sorry about your uncle. Families are so complicated and you don’t have to be the one to stand up to him if you don’t feel like you can. I can’t imagine the frustration you must feel seeing racism in your family as a Hispanic person. I’m an olderish white woman in Kentucky and I’ve heard enough racist shit being said when people assumed I’d agree with them that I am now more than happy to tell someone how out of line they are. I didn’t have the courage when I was younger. 💜
