incredibly old art I originally posted to bluesky
there she is
Namor Legends: Llyra
Llyra first appeared in 2002 as the daughter of a Lemurian and a human woman, similar to Namor, born with the power to alter her appearance to pass as either human or Atlantean and even mimic the appearance of others. She is responsible for the death of Namor’s wife Dorma.
In an adaptation, Llyra would be fun to explore even just for her parallels to Namor and her chameleon abilities. She might capture Dorma at some point, but I doubt I’d tell the death storyline. As for casting, Llyra might start out as a teenager, but if not, someone like Celina Jade or Nazneen Contractor might play her well.

Sunday Sub-Mariner's World
Though not one of Namor's most physically strong foes, Llyra has probably inflicted the most damage to him. She killed his wife, Lady Dorma, on their long awaited wedding day and had a hand in the murder of his father, Leonard McKenzie. IMO, she's was his cruelest arch nemesis.
Wait, the autor made Dorma the villain?? Wouldn't it have made more sense to use Llyra, who's canonically filled the role they're looking for????
They also used Llyra. However from the quick scan I did of it they seemed to have just pulled the names off wiki and not care about characterizations at all, they basically used Dorma as Namor's evil ex. That's what frustrates me, there's already an evil woman obsessed with Namor that would work as a villain if they used Llyra, but nope they gotta bash on a canon ship for their ship.
Summer Llyra from earlier this year! I’m absolutely still in love with this piece. The colours and composition just came out so good
