Prompt: Ilyea betrays Demytrya, could be from either or both perspective.
Inspired Music
It started with a letter with just a lock of dark hair. It carried the smell of oiled leathers and the depth of shadow and Ilyea immediately recognized it.
The mage tried to rationalize it and reached as deep as she could within their shared bond to talk to Aurora, to feel him and hear that he was okay.
But like the void that he cloaked himself with, there was but silence.
It was the second letter which held a tip of Aurora’s finger that Ilyea really started to panic. There was no other symbols upon the vessel and they carefully scrubbed it of any blood that it was hard to track anything. It was like they knew exactly what made her tick and mocked her with it.
Ilyea immediately ended Ophie’s training at Erudition and hid her away, paranoia once more ruling her life with its capricious fist. She used all her contacts, all her deals to get one hint of where her Husband was.
He was supposed to be smarter than this. She was supposed to be smarter than this. And yet they fucking failed. Her ties made her weak, her love made her weak.
It was easy for them to find her then, the group under the malevolent eye. “Give us what we need, and we’ll give you what you need” The handler murmured with a small smile. They gave her Aurora’s heart then, hermetically sealed and embossed with a glowing rune.
“We’ll give a piece of him back each time you take something back for us. It’ll be simple. Tell a soul, and you will never be able to put him back together. The healing is simple yet pained, don’t leave him waiting hm?” The person chirped with a tone that was familiar and terrifying at the same time.
What else could she say but yes when she held his beating heart within that shiny glass canister.
Ilyea returned to the Artifact store house and eyed a particular one as described by the handler, her handler. It’d take a few weeks but she could crudely replicate what it should look like and then slip the real thing to the Discordia. Say the right thing to the wrong person and slowly watch the Scions boil themselves alive. Tell them the location of Demytrya’s child and how to plunge a dagger into Lledwyn’s back.
Ilyea cradled the jar that contained Aurora’s heart and started to work.

RP Recap: Tezzakel's Game
Recounting the events of Thursday the 29th of June.
Aranya stood on one of the hills of Deliverance Point, with Halenvar at her side. It felt reassuring that he was with her, that he had been the first to come find her and be at her side since earlier that day.
He was always at her side, whatever she did.
The arcanist gave the valarjar a warm smile, which he returned. Asharri Kelanthis, good to her word, was soon to appear. Aranya hailed her and the blonde woman inclined her head in greeting. When Lledwyn and Priscilla made their way over at last, the sorceress addressed everyone who had come to aid her, “Good to see everyone here. Thank you all for coming, I appreciate it.”
"We could do no less,” said Halenvar. “At least for my part.”
Asharri grinned. “Well, I do seem to owe you one,” she said, and Aranya grinned back at her, chuckling softly. She had been glad to help Asharri, and Caitira, even with them at odds with Captain Thorne - though that was hardly their fault.
Lledwyn inclined his head in a faint nod towards Aranya and murmured quietly, “Of course, Lady Aranya.” He offered the other woman a faint smile, though the death knight had obviously come dressed for battle. And evidently, still felt the only-half-accurate title of “lady” was the most appropriate for the dark-haired woman.
Priscilla just sat quietly listening to the rest of them.
Aranya looked to Halenvar, who gave her a nod. It was time to brief the group. “As some of you know, there’s been a grudge between myself and a dreadlord I did some irreparable injury to ten years ago,” she began. “I all but thought of him as a trophy story of my past, but in recent days, since the opening of the Tomb, he has shown that he has not forgotten nor forgiven, and threatens the people around me. “
Halenvar grunted, “I have been waiting to bloody my blade on that demon.” the remark earned him a smirk from Aranya.
Lledwyn stayed silent, his piercing blue-eyed gaze focused upon the woman speaking. His lips thinned almost imperceptibly as his hand moved to the hilt of his sword, as if making certain the weapon were ready to be pulled at a moment’s notice. He flickered a brief glance at Halenvar when the other man spoke before shifting once again back to Aranya, waiting for her to continue, clearly.
Priscilla chimed in, “So the time has come to end it to keep from the Mr Nappy pants demon lord thingy will not come at you or the people that are clos eto you Ma'am.”
Aranya smile at the priestess. “Indeed,” she said. “What we are to do, is to enter the Cathedral of Eternal Night, and using the ambient energies of the Aegis of Aggramar and the felstorm, force the demon to manifest before he can gain any more strength than he already has.” She gestured to the runed necklace that she wore, its violet soul gem gleaming in the early evening light of the fel-tinged skies. “With this necklace Lledwyn crafted, and the soul gem Safrona gave me, he’ll be bound,” she explained. “He can be taken to the Netherstorm’s heart, and destroyed forever there.”
It was known to all, that only within the Nether, or on a world within the Nether, could a demon be destroyed utterly and forever.
Halenvar nodded, glancing to the soul stone necklace. It was clear that he disliked the item, but knew it was needed.
Asharri lofted a brow, listening quietly as her eyes swept the perimeter; falling upon each face she saw. “Kick him while he’s down then? I hope it’s as simple as it sounds. It never seems to be.”
Aranya nodded in agreement to Asharri. “I don’t suppose I need to warn you all that despite the best efforts of the Wardens, Illidari, and Legionfall forces, some demons are more than likely to have trickled back into the Cathedral since we took it,” she pointed out. “There will be quite a fight on our hands, regardless.”
"Which means I will be on my toes,” remarked Priscilla.
Halenvar cracked his knuckles, looking at the rest of the group. “Fighting has never bothered the Valarjar. Nor will it now.”
Lledwyn merely nodded his head.
“Are we all ready to move then?” Aranya asked, looking around at each one in the assembled group.
Asharri nodded, “As ready as ever.”
“At your word,” said Halenvar. With that, they all mounted and lifted off into the sky, the Cathedral gleaming with an ominous light ahead of them.
Seeking (8) Revised
(Did not like the original version, decided to re-do it. A lot more detail and more direction was put into the story.)
Previous Part (Sanctification): Inspiration Music
Breathe.
Just Breathe.
The words stood within Ilyea’s lips as the heaviness in her chest began to collect and fall away. Inhale and then exhale; she felt her mind say as the vigorous ritual had trained almost everything from her but then again, she couldn’t say this was the right time.
Ilyea felt the tightness of the bond which let her know when Aurora was nearby but dared not open it. The more she spoke with him, the more she’d want to crawl back to his side.
But the sanctum needed to be free from void, so that it could contain the void. It required writing the very existence of the chambers with the coding of her magical soul. Her avatar, the spark which creates her to cast magic.
At least that’s what it always felt to her. It was something that slowly become known to her as she trained throughout the years, the fury of flame and fire dissipating under the whirling storms of arcane.
When the contours of her body solidified under the regiments of her steadying breath, Ilyea entered the confines of the room that would later become her sanctum. Previous visits issued runes across the barrier that one would recognize from the trees but further augmented for the ritual. Further runes collected together from the middle creating three circles of runes. The outside having the most space while the other two growing smaller in size. The middle most one where the ritual would be taking place.
Earlier Ilyea collected a few buckets of water from the haven which she dropped off after the failed Black Temple attack. The water was tepid and cooled and carried a bit of the surrounding arcane winds that flowed around Outlands. It would serve its purpose once the ritual was finished, and the sanctum was finally completed.
Bare feet dried with blood slowly traversed the two rings that made up the inner most area of her lab, as Ilyea situated the robes outwards so just the tips of the fabric would touch the circle. Her hands still ached from the wounds from before but like her legs they had dried blood that moved down her skin like red sap rivers of red sap. One would think with the surrounding trees, that this elven was just some dirty nymph covered in grime, leaves and blood with her smudged white robes and wild black hair and not some type of magic user. It was an assumption that was fair to gather considering her surroundings as the mage adjusted herself against the dirt ground.
Her soul strength had to be stronger if she were to confront the well. Exactly how it worked was anyone’s guess, it had been so long since she had looked within her magical self. Her trainings, her faults. Instinct told her this would work and that was good enough for her.
A few steadying inhale/exhale combos and she steadied her rhythm.
Breathe.
Just Breathe.
Prompt! " You're a kids imaginary friend, he/she is growing up. You're fading away. "
Inspired Music:
“Phie….Phie, hey.. hey.
Can you hear me?Probably barely since it’s been so long since you’ve been back to the keep! Doyou want to play hide and go peek once more?
You were always so goodat finding me, and I tried so hard to hide.
Remember…. remember whenI hid within Lledwyn’s study when he was trying to meditate? He got so mad atus.
Those were good times.
I know we see each otherless and less because of all your training, but I’m always here when you comeback.
You get so scared whenMom’s voice is all demanding and kind of shrill. Kind of like those parrots wesaw once in Strangle thorn, all squawky. We’d both call her Mom the squawk, rememberPhie?
Hahah, that was a jokejust for us. Something that made everything less sad and funny even when Momwas being very serious, more serious then Lledwyn does.
When her eyes get wideand frightened and she’s holding back tears.
That’s when we had to bestrong right.
Do the healing thinguntil Mom stopped squawking and everything calmed down and we could bothbreath.
It’s way better thenlistening to the other voice that echoes along the halls, the really scary onethat tells you how much they want to do bad things.
The one that soundsfatherly but we both know that it’s not your father, but it seems to come atthe smallest times when I couldn’t be there for you Phie.
I’m sorry I couldn’t bethere all the time.
It’s hard to remain inthese halls and not get sucked into this same madness.
But I figured outsomething recently, Phie.
I wouldn’t be here if itwasn’t for those bad voices so maybe some good came out of it.
I wish I lived longenough to have a little girl just like you, Phie.
Your mommy must be proud.
Lledwyn is bringing theaxe away as to where I’m not sure, but that means the bad voices won’t botheryou anymore.
But that also means thatI won’t be around to play with you either.
Be strong little Phie, trust your Mom even when she’s squawky and know that you are never ever alone.
You are brave, and Ilove you.

Void Progression
There was no time to waste, she couldn’t be gentle about it or take her time to try and find out what each one signified. She needed to be acclimated *now*.
Was it the void or the pressure of the shadows?
Ilyea’s eyes were still dark and people were talking and it still didn’t make sense. Didn’t they say something about wards?
Would the wards even work?
Where the fuck was Demy?
Her head, her head fucking hurt. Her senses were frazzled and she recognized a voice, maybe two. There were sword swings, and music.
ALL THIS FUCKING MUSIC.
GO AWAY.
GO THE FUCK AWAY.
Her head screamed but her lips couldn’t move.
Where the hell was her voice when it mattered the most?
Focusing, unfocusing. Re-focusing.
She had enough energy to stand. Ilyea started to walk.
Aurora was here, Aurora was gone. Disappeared into the lights.
So many lights, like one fucking unblinking star.
Her eyes still fucking hurt.
Ilyea adjusted herself upon the simple thatched roof from one of the many houses that dotted near Aurora’s childhood home. The box that Theron had given her was produced from a sachel around her waist. There hasn’t been much time to her and she needed to finish what she could. Erudition was getting worst and her mind ran with the possibilities of what exactly she could accomplish, if anything. Bombs kept going off into her head, bombs and plague, and blight.
Destroy it all to rebuild it all.
Ilyea’s hands dug at the vials and just straight drank it the second one pulling out the paper to write her experiences.
*Fucking undead bullshit. Tastes like the underlining smoothness of the void, and whatever they put into the waters of Undercity*
The small piece of paper was finished and folded up to set on the side. Ilyea turned her head and spit out the blood before washing it out with some conjured water. Fucking horrible.
Third vial was slammed just as quickly as the second one as soon as most of her spit ran clear from from the drinking water.
*Human void caster? Maybe? Runs smooth like what void magic is. The kind that tickles your throat but feels different. It has void in it.* Ilyea knew that what she wrote was unsatisfactory then what she *could* do but time was not on her side. The third note was folded up as she took a few more swigs from her the canteen.
Lledwyn called out something, then Kurel. Then Vel.
Kael did next. Wards. We have to fucking channel to the wards. Where was Kael?
The lights didn’t matter, nor did the ever present void. It was so cold.
It was so fucking cold.
A flicker. And then a thought. Follow the cracks and then follow the seal.
Fingers dig into his flesh and she could sense Kael’s signature. Disconnecting and reconnecting so quick wasn’t something that she had tried but it was something that was needed.
Ilyea knew how the wards worked, how they popped and flowed over like lava. His was too fractured but if she filled in those cracks maybe she could change and empower him.
It was worth a shot.
Fourth vial was paused against the mage’s lip as if praying this one didn’t taste as bad as the last two. It was tipped back and then shot right back up as soon as the liquid hit her lips the foul liquid hitting the earth. It tasted familiar but wrong. Void with the sharpest hints of Fel.
*NO* The forth paper was scribbled upon furiously and put to the side with the canteen coming to her lips to chase away the liquid.
The fifth one was opened after an hour at passed of furiously washing her mouth out with water. IF Theron had managed to find some void lord and put its essence in its vial, Ilyea would gather enough strength to go down and kick his ass.
Kick his ass and never stop kicking it.
The liquid was quickly released from the glass vial and swallowed. It still had the uncomfortable feeling of void but her senses felt muddled after that last one.
“Orc and void magic. Who cares.” The last paper read as Ilyea folded it up and then send the results back to Theron. Her limit was two samples before it would fizzle. At least she knew she had a hard line rule about how much she could do this.
A hard line to train from.
Something didn’t want her there; to help Kael.
Something was actively pushing her out from reaching Kael’s signature. Was it from within the cracks?
Ilyea was so utterly drained and the fucking stupid bird couldn’t take her fucking energy.
There was a brief flash of something jade and her limbs felt heavy, the lights were too bright and the fucking song wouldn’t stop.
Fine then.
If it isn’t about asking permission, it’s about saving lives.
Who fucking needs your permission to do that?
If she couldn’t sync signatures with his, she’ll force hers upon him.
The last of everything she had was pushed into Kael and hopefully it’d be enough.
There was just no more time to waste.

Talking with @lledwynlomeriel about serious fate of the world stuff. Why can’t Aranya’s life just be tea and crumpets some days? Nooooooo, it’s blood and fire all the friggin’ time!
