Reasons for each of them are,
Kecleon: That was his first one. I chose it because I could easily imagine young Ienzo walking around with it. It was as shy and quiet as him, they made the perfect duo.
Decidueye: Okay, picked this because I figured that his first one would be deemed useless in battle which isn’t true but whatever. Anyways he gets his hands on this cute rowlet out of spite.
Absol: Senses danger and impending disaster. I won’t go too into why I think this is the perfect pokemon for Ienzo/Zexion but for one thing this poor pokemon hated Castle Oblivion.
Zorua: Obviously he needed the illusion fox puppy on his team. Sometimes it likes to take his form and help him skip out on chores.
Musharna: Read it’s pokemon sword entry.
Venomoth: He uses it for status effects mostly.
