look, i like the dynamic, but with the details we had abt him meeting her as a kid even if she dosen't remember and him having this relationship with her stepfather and talking abt sum "i'll provide for her" ahh before killing him i just think it isn't giving what it should be

and yeah, the series give off signs of romance between them, but in my head red is like a really close uncle to lizzie that gives off father figure more than anything, though i hope the millenials don't get mad at me bc i don't immediately love the "wise old man and young thriving woman who's too kind and unbroken" trope and the agegap that comes with this ship, i do get the idea though
