We took the Monster on a little daytrip down memory lane to Helena Bay, Teal Bay and Oakura north of my hometown. Those beaches were my childhood it was amazing seeing them after 10+ years.
Also visited a little cafe and art gallery near Helena Bay, it had an amazing view of the forest and the ocean in the distance.
If you ever visit NZ, the north is full of little gems if you know where to look.
