I will be the first to admit I’m not a Swiftie (I like her music, though) I just want to see you come up with some more 10/Rose AU’s!

I'm definitely still doing this! I'm having way too much fun merging my love of Taylor Swift with my love of Ten/Rose AUs 😂

Song: Dancing With Our Hands Tied

AU Idea: This would make for a great forbidden/secret romance story. I would write maybe a historical/ye olde fic where James and Rose come from two vastly different social classes, like maybe royalty and peasant or something to that effect. And the one from royalty (James, I'm thinking) doesn't want the responsibilities of being royalty, because maybe he isn't even next in line, so why does the royal family even care about what he does or where he goes. But it's all about maintaining the image of fancy-schmancy hoity-toity perfect, untouchable, unobtainable perfection, so his parents are trying to arrange a suitable marriage for him. He then runs away from the castle to slum it as a commoner, where he runs into Rose, who recognizes him straight away ("Really, mate... the whole kingdom knows your face, but you thought you could blend in undetected?? You're stupider than I thought." *incoherent spluttering* "Oi, I'm the prince! Have some respect!" *smirking* "Well the royal prince is standing ankle deep in cow dung...")

Suffice it to say he's smitten, and he begrudgingly goes back to the castle because turns out a handsome, marriageable prince out and about the village without any guards or soldiers is a bad idea. Not to mention any villager who's angry about his parents' reign.

So he goes to the castle and, like a dumb-dumb, he never got Rose's name. The next time he sneaks out, he takes better precautions with disguising himself, and he searches the whole town for Rose. He finally finds her and is is trying to act like it's a coincidence he ran across her again, but they both know better. But lucky for him, she likes him too. They get to chatting and regularly meet up in secrecy for a while, slowly falling in love over the course of several glorious, uninterrupted months. Until finally they're found out and James is forbidden from contacting her again, and Rose is threatened to stay away from the prince.

Neither of them listen *insert interesting and romantic conflict resolution here* and they come out to the entire kingdom as being in love, and James announces that if he couldn't marry Rose, he wasn't going to marry anyone. *insert family drama here* Eventually the king and queen reluctantly agree to let James get married to Rose, but they all live happily ever after :)

Yep! I actually said that in the original post, but it might’ve gotten lost in all of that text. You can write the prompts in whatever order you want, or multiple times, or you whatever you can think of.

Ten/Rose.  He’s being a clueless prat alien and Rose storms out on an alien planet and goes to a spa.   Only she gets a treatment unlike anything she expected errr an extreme bikni wax but not with wax...

Traveling with the Doctor, Rose often immersed herself in alien culture.  At first, she’d been overwhelmed and nervous.  Until the Doctor rushed her into the thick of adventure.  Wonder and exhilaration swept away self-consciousness and doubt.

 Now, she was a seasoned time traveler.

 So it wasn’t that far off for her to venture into an alien market alone. Even that day, Rose would normally be in the thick of shopping in the colorful tented stalls in vivid purple, and lime green as vendors sang out their wares and patrons oooed and ahhhed over the variety. 

 Today was not such a day.  as she squeezed through the crowd, oblivious to the violet colored sky and pink sun shining down on the market.  She ignored the blue sparkly cobblestone streets or the outrageously decadent fashion of the aliens in the market with their green hair arranged into swirls stretching upward seeming to defy gravity; or the bold silken fabrics wrapped around them and pinned together with gold and silver sculpted pins.

 She was too angry at a certain Time Lord who took her for granted and blamed her for things that weren’t her fault,  Like them getting caught mid shag in some sacred garden of the holy fluffernoof alien bunny thing.  

It hadn’t been her idea to shag there, even if it was what the alien bunnies were doing.  It had been prompted by the randy Time Lord who arched a brow at her and smirked about showing the bunnies how it was done and whispering in her ear how he knew she didn’t have knickers on under her sundress.  

Of course, it couldn’t possibly be his fault it was family day at the garden and they were chased out by horrified tourists. No, he blamed her as they ran back to the TARDIS. He whinged about being banned from his favorite time period on that world.

This is all I've got in the document at the moment as it was all in the spur of the moment while I was daydreaming on my way to work:

"Let's play 20 questions then. To pass the time."

"What are you, 12?"

"No."

"How old are you, by the way?"

"It's impolite to ask a lady about her age."

He snorted.

"You're no lady."

Her face fell and her body language changed drastically from somewhat relaxed to clenched and uncomfortable.

He wished he'd thought before speaking.

Should he apologise?

"Look, I'm sorry. That was uncalled for. And rude."

"Yup, you're an arsehole."

He smiled. She wasn't acting like a lady at all.

This is pure self-indulgency. I miss swing dancing a lot, with lockdown and all, so I channeled that into a little something during that street party following Idiot’s Lantern. It’s very rough around the edges right now, but here’s a little bit of the first draft! Well, a “lot a bit” of the first draft :)

“Remember, just like I taught you... rock step back, triple step, triple step, rock step, shoulders steady, it’s all in the hips, there we go...” the Doctor said quietly, each syllable in perfect tempo with the quick, bouncing movements of his feet. Rose kept her eyes to the ground, watching carefully as they sashayed back and forth, all the while turning slightly in a circle. 

Within moments, the pair fell into an easy rhythm, hop-skipping along to the pulse of the horns. With one hand still squeezed tight, palm to palm, the Doctor slowly eased them further apart, snapping along to the beat with his free hand. His sparkling, dark eyes never once left Rose’s as they pivoted to face each other, dancing as perfect mirror images of each other.

“Like you… Doctor, what are you talking about?” Rose laughed incredulously, delightedly. 

The Doctor beamed, slowly closing the gap between them in a zig-zag step pattern until they were dancing barely a hair’s breadth apart.

“I’ll help you remember.”

Rose felt her cheeks flush a deeper crimson than any amount of blush she had put on as he spun on his heel and his hand found the small of her back again, then led her forward into a spin, with the gentle pressure at the small of her back guiding her forward at the right moments, and easing away to let her fall even closer into his arms on the back step. 

She gripped his hand tightly as he gently pushed her into a twirl, and Rose couldn’t help but admire the way her skirt was made for dancing like this. At their furthest apart, just before he could tug her into another spin back close, she could see several people watching from the sidelines, smiling that sort of knowing smile Rose felt like she was seeing so much more often lately.

In perfect synchronicity, the two fell back into the rocking back step, and for a moment, they simply swayed back and forth together, nearly chest to chest. 

whew, sorry it took me a bit to answer, i had to go digging through my reblogs for the answer! which is yes. i decided to write my ninerose eros & psyche oneshot after seeing this art.

I have lots of things I’ve had that long. I take very good care of things, and I don’t like to get rid of them. I still have my teddy bear, and the mirror my uncle made me, and the set of Little House books my aunt gave me...

And Christmas ornaments. Lots of Christmas ornaments. The one in the top right corner I made in Sunday School when I was 5. The one in the bottom left corner was given to me when I was a baby.
