There are places that feel like scenery… and then there are places that feel like they’re quietly watching you.

Mount Rainier, especially at sunset... is of the second kind.

It doesn’t simply sit on the horizon, it commands it. A glacier-wrapped giant with 26 frozen rivers clinging to its shoulders like ancient silk, catching first light in a way that feels almost ceremonial. Morning there isn’t just sunrise, it’s a slow unveiling and evening doesn’t fade, it exhales. Even midday somehow feels hushed, as if the mountain asked the sun to soften its voice.

You can wander through wildflower meadows that look painted on purpose, then glance up and remember you’re standing beneath something almost heavenly. It’s not just beautiful, it’s… sovereign. Untouched in a way that makes everything else feel temporary.

There are infinite universes and alternate timelines.
