Yesterday was the day I officially introduced myself to Aphrodite.

I set up a working space with her statue and prayer beads. I lit some vanilla incense and her pink cherry blossom candle. I also had a ring that I had decided to dedicate to her as devotional jewelry. Then I just kind of talked to Her -  I have no idea if I did it “right” or not. But it felt . . right

After I was done introducing myself and telling Her why I want to work with Her I dedicated a silver heart spoon ring I had to Her. I had it siting in my cleansing bowl (The large glass container directly behind Aphrodite) over night. I cleansed it with the incense and then held it between my hands while I thought about all the reasons I wanted to carry something the I felt would connect me to Her. What it would remind me of throughout the day when I felt it on my finger or saw it.

I closed by thanking Her and then leaving Her an offering of water mixed with some raspberry syrup.

So as I begin to navigate my practice -  still unsure as to what that “looks like”.

I find myself wondering about offerings. I would love to be able to devote time every day (maybe in the morning) to spend time with my Gods, but right now life doesn’t really allow for that. To many changes going on and I haven’t found my groove yet.

So I am wondering for those of you that give offerings -

Do you have a schedule?

How often do you leave / give offerings?

Do different Gods get more then another? (Are they more needy, for lack of a better term)

Is it always a specific type? Or do you give different things at different times?

How do you dispose of offerings after you have given them?

New Tarot deck!

I am a HUGE fan of the 1986 cult classic The Labyrinth.

When I heard they were going to make a Labyrinth themed tarot deck I knew I HAD to have it.

After a delay on the original shipping date it finally came.

I LOVE it!

I am not so sure how I feel about using it for actual readings, as I am still very VERY new to tarot. Also I really kind of want to protect them. Right now they are sitting with my small collection of tarot.

I may end up moving them to my David Bowie/Labyrinth space.

So I have been feeling a tug to start exploring a relationship with Aphrodite. Not necessarily to bring more romantic love into my life. But more to work on loving myself -  learning to be comfortable in my own skin  and grow my confidence in myself.

I don’t know what my worship of Her will look like or entail. I just feel drawn to her. So we will have to see what happens

To that end I have started working on putting together a place for Her on my altar. I have ordered some print (4x6) and they should be here soon. I was able to claim this gorgeous dolphin picture frame for free on a Facebook group I am on. I picked it up today and am absolutely in love with it.

So this is the beginning of my small altar for Her. I picked up some small valentines heart chocolates to offer Her. And thanks to @thepastelpriestess​ and her post about making cupcakes for the Gods a few days ago I also picked up a mix to make a batch myself!

So I have really been into making things for my craft. I am preparing to start working with Hades and Persephone so I made these.

They are two little offering dishes. One in the shape of a pomegranate for Persephone and one in the shape of a cornucopia for Hades.

I really like how they turned out. Although I am thinking I may remake them in polymer clay so the colors are more even. But really happy with them and I can’t wait to put them on my altar!

This is on my window sill by my sink. I am just starting out so it is small and simple. But it makes me smile every morning when I take a quiet moment and light the small oil lamp.
