I know that it's not very productive, but the KPDH songs are my study soundtrack.
And I was thinking, the Saja Boys have way better line distribution than Huntrix. All of them sing quite a lot in both Soda Pop and Your Idol.
And then Huntrix is mostly Rumi, the others singing harmonies, or two lines of solo. She sounds amazing, but I think only How It's Done had them all have a solo part that was longer than two lines. Zoey had her rap verses, and Mira had her verses. And Rumi got to belt, vocally.
Golden was mostly Rumi; that song had no rapping. And Zoey and Mira leave right in the middle during the stage performance, because they're not needed to sing. I know, plot, but still. And I expected a bit more in What It Sounds Like, because it's all unity, reclaiming identity, which all of them struggled with. They had their harmonies, but Rumi was louder than them. And Zoey and Mira are super precious, like not side characters where you can be like, oh yeah, sure, main characters sing more.
I'm not complaining, I love all the songs, and the singing. I just think it would have been nicer if the other girls got to sing more, character-wise. I don't know whether the cast, songwriters, and directors chose to do it this way, though.
hii @silverteacups
when this was on which unit gets the song the majority was vbs iirc. but i think niigo would SLAY this cover so hard, the lyrics are fitting too im not a huuge csm fan but there are definitely some n25 esque themes in there
Watching line distribution videos for the KPDH songs is making me giggle, because we really are giving these cartoon bands the full kpop fandom treatment, huh?
We're out here being indignant that the line distribution in Huntrix songs is so heavily skewed towards Rumi, like it's not totally normal for the protagonist of a musical to get the most singing time by a decent margin. And that is the reason she has by far the most lines: because the songs relate to her personal journey, as the protagonist (the in-universe excuse is that she's the main vocalist, ofc, but I'm talking real-world reasoning here). But we're out here with our knowledge of the real-world problem of uneven line distribution in kpop and using that lens on this movie, and i think that's both funny and honestly kinda neat
Go probably my most painful line dist ever
@daily-prsk-line-dist remember this? >:)
