How to erase grey/white outlines on line art on Photoshop
One of the biggest frustrations for digital artists is when we separate traditionally scanned line art and then it has the dooming grey areas around it like this:
Ugh! It totally kills how the line art looks, right?
Fortunately, this has a super duper easy fix.
Just lock the line art layer:
And then take a big dark colored brush (or whatever color you want the lines to be) and paint over the entire layer. It’s locked, so it will only affect the actual lines!
Then voila~
SO much better!! Now just clean up the lines as you like and all that jazz.
P.S. If you want to make traditional line art colored, you do this same thing but then choose the colors you want instead of just a dark brush. :)
