#lime rants #it was nice not to be actively thinking about discourse for almost a week #less nice was having to spend time around Old People Who Go On Cruises #also known as one of the most insufferable demographics on earth #literally was involved in a convo with two moms who were talking about their kids legally changing their names #and how they still call them by their birth names bc ‘you dont know what i went thru to have you! ill call you whatever i damn well want!’#& then laughing at how pissed their kids would get #likeeeeee ok tell me you don’t respect your kids as people without TELLING me. yknow #as far as i could tell neither of them were trans but. if they went thru the trouble of legally changing it? probably a good reason!
