Well, this was born from thinking about halloween cosplays and I thought of a hero that relies on his technician and ended up in fullmetal alchemist and combining these with another fic where Fenton ends up with his father's armor, the original Fenton.

Hi, I have a friend with two mice and I'm pretty worried about the size of the enclosure. It's fairly small, and I was wondering the bare minimum of enclosure sizes? I was also wondering if you have any recommendations for cages, I'm in the US btw!
Hmm, I believe the minimum space requirement for a single mouse is a ten gallon, if given a wheel and appropriate platforms, climbing structures and hides. But I absolutely wouldn’t want to keep even a single mouse in something as small as that. The more space the better! Mice are surprisingly active when given the chance.
As for the type of cages, tanks or tubs are generally accepted as the best and safest form of housing. It’s so hard to find appropriate wire cages that have a bar spacing small enough that a mouse can’t squeeze through. Tanks and tubs not only keep your mice in their space, but keep other animals out, too. If you have other, free roaming pets like a cat or dog, a wire cage can be a bit of a liability, especially one small enough for a mouse, since the bars tend to be thinner the smaller the cage and bar spacing is. The only down side to tanks or tubs is ventilation; you definitely want a mesh lid (the ones sold for reptiles do poorly for most reptiles, but they’re really sturdy and have good airflow) and you’ll want to keep up on regular cleaning.
