If you trace the root of the online hate for Jey, it all began with his win at the Royal Rumble. People wanted Cena or Punk to win so bad and when they didn’t, the IWC turned on Jey. The same people clamoring for Jey to be given a world title shot turned on him overnight. Literally. I’ll never forget those few days after Jey’s Rumble win. The Internet hate was horrible. To me, it just showed just how fickle and miserable online wrestling fans truly are.

Now, the Internet hate continues to persist. People nitpick every little thing he does. If he makes even a small mistake, it “proves” that he does nothing but botch. If he uses even one superkick in a match, it “proves” that he only has three moves. If he’s out of breath from his entrance, it “proves” that he’s out of shape. People will even invent things about him to fuel the hate. Recently, I’ve seen people making up a rumor that he was under the influence for his WHC match with Punk, despite there being no evidence to prove this.

If Jey does something wrong, he’s “ruining wrestling.” If Jey does something right, he gets no credit. He can’t win.

As for his love life, it’s all just rumors. Nothing has ever been proven or substantiated, no matter how vehemently the Internet girlies claim to know the “truth.” I don’t think it’s a big contributor to Jey’s online hate. It’s mostly just drama amongst his supposed “fans” online. I don’t put any energy into it because I don’t care about what Jey does in his personal life and I’m not really sure why other people do 🤷‍♀️

Bottom line: The Jey Uso hate is rooted in fans being upset their fave didn’t win at the Rumble and continues to persist because people are genuinely miserable. They’ll hate on Jey for the smallest things then forgive their faves for everything. It’s so hypocritical. If people would just focus on what they liked instead of hating on others, maybe they’d be happier. But that’s just my opinion 😌
