Everyone also figures out eventually that it can take up to three weeks to die after the inconvenience so people start quitting their jobs after getting a paper cut. It’s utter chaos

When Light finds out L’s name he decides not to kill him because he’s grown to like the guy but when he gets annoyed with L he just writes down minor inconveniences for him. L figures out the whole deal eventually but instead of convicting Kira just works with him to deliver their twisted justice upon the world. Together. As our favourite morally dubious bastards.

As they grow older they fade out Kira so crime rates stay down but there’s less living in fear but anytime L burns his tongue on food or trips he claims it’s Lights fault and that he wrote his name in the “minor inconvenience” notebook
