So... I know that Mighty Morphin Power Rangers is the season(s) of PR as a whole with the most popularity and likely the most stories at this point but at this point, I do wish we could get more representation of the other seasons. I'm thinking in the form of graphic novels that could expand upon certain characters. Mainly, I would like it if we could get some more on the Magna Defender and the Titanium Ranger.
For Magna Defender, I am mainly thinking of the life & times of the original Magna Defender. The guy that gave his power to Mike Corbett in Lost Galaxy. There is some untapped potential, I think. What was his life like before he lost his son? What was their relationship? Why do they both wear armor? Is that a cultural thing from their planet? Are they like Mandalorians? Those and so many more questions!
For the Titanium Ranger, I mainly want to see what his life was like with the demons and what is life is like after the defeat of said demons. He seems to have had a pretty normal childhood up until the incident that caused the demons to take him. Because it has been a bit, I wonder if Diabolico raised Ryan like he was his own son. Or if was Ryan just a tool to him. What did the other demons think of a human being among them, I wonder. What path in life did Ryan take when his time as a Ranger was put on hold?
There is a lot of untapped stories in general with Power Rangers characters in my opinion. The Boom Studios comics have a good chance to explore, as they did a bit with Psycho Rangers in The Psycho Path as well as something with Jen and Wes in Sins of the Future. Really makes me wonder what writers and artists could do with Magna Defender and the Titanium Ranger.
Going back to that Mandalorian thought, I could see a Magna Defender graphic novel working like a mix of The Mandalorian on Disney Plus and the first God of War game in the Norse Saga. I say mix because it seems like the original Magna Defender and his son have a good relationship like Din Djarin and Grogu do while being blood-related father and son duo like Kratos and Atreus are.
Then for Ryan Mitchell, I could maybe see it being a story of him travelling the world, experiencing what he could not with the demons and his active time as a Ranger. There is a lot that he could learn, a lot he could do. I just had the idea of imagining him finding out about some ambiguous faith/religion and him sort of having thoughts of what that means to people who aren't him. That's probably the least likely story to get with the Titanium Ranger but it's the one I came up with for whatever reason. There is likely many better ideas others can come up with.
