Getting to play my comfort character in a community production of Lightning Thief is so funny, because wdym I can just make Silena openly bisexual? Wdym I can make ruegard canon in a show that only, like, 200 people will see? Absolutely bonkers.
I finally got to go see the lightning thief musical, it was soooooo cool. Dionysus was in drag which fits his character so well actually as the god of wine and ✨drama✨
I’ve listened to the soundtrack so many times but nothing could prepare me for the pure emotion in their voices seeing it live. The intentional voice cracks, the vocal growl, all the stuff that wasn’t in the official recording. It was so peak.
I’m so happy they’ve added Try back into the show cause it was honestly the best and most emotional opening to the second act and I can’t imagine it any other way.
Tree on the hill tho, oh Grover my poor child. That actor knew exactly how to break us all in the peak of that song. It’s hard to describe but he broke off into a half sob in the middle of the line

If you’ve heard the song you can probably imagine how much this broke me. (If you haven’t omgs go listen to it) I personally found it one of the most impactful songs of the entire show, along with Good Kid and Grand Plan. They all nailed it with the solos I could feel the music in my bones.
So yea, I’m gonna be rewatching that as soon as I have another opportunity cause it’s the best musical ever!

Saw The Lightning Thief yesterday and I Will be thinking about it repeatedly for the foreseeable future
got incredibly lucky and went to see percy jackson lightning thief last night!!!!! the show was PHENOMENAL genuinely one of my favourite musicals now 🫶🫶 it was sososo good the cast was insane
