Great session, makes one think of why all the other countries have highly marked-up tariffs on US exports, to buffer for weakened USD—as per your guest #Peter Schiff who said reason Americans started buying cheap foreign imports was specifically bc the watered down dollar no longer made fuel for their cars affordable since OPEC knew what happened & raised the price of oil to account for the dilution. This quote above felt apt, not only for the illusion of wealth but also peace & unity—America keeps saying "Me me me me me, what about me?" When in actuality America is the only nation that is the proverbial black-hole in the world which produces nothing on a relative scale to the amount it inhales from other nations (again I am quoting Schiff). I believe he was mainly talking about physical goods you can trade to consume & stay alive in the jungle, as opposed to intangible luxury goods that can be easily substituted like entertainment/financing/insurance/fancy clothes. Anyhow would love to see the person Tom mentioned today as a guest, the lady who discusses the sudden skew toward woke policies is a result of more educated single women in positions of leadership—unchecked by male pov bc too independent & successful, thus they dismiss men's opinions.
