Earlier today, a 7 min drive from the apartment led me once again to this place where sunbathing is a luxury. Sitting on the old concrete park bench put me in into thinking about how great it was going to be...to enjoy being outside on such a bright, winter day. I always take comfort in just sitting and observing the many people coming in and going out the same park—under the same beautiful trees, under the same blue sky, and under the same bright sun. It’s been a while since I sat alone and watched the world around me go by on an ordinary day, with the mighty Sun all over the place. This mindfulness’ effort reminded me of the need to have a quiet, peaceful day without spending money.
