It's my birthday month.

I'm finally feeling a bit more comfortable with my own identities/orientations.

I love dragons.

Life in Color is a ten-generation legacy challenge for The Sims 4 where each generation is based on a different color. It is inspired by Lil Simsie’s Not So Berry legacy challenge, so if you liked that challenge, Life in Color could be fun for you! Each generation has rules that should be completed in order to move on to the next generation. However, Sims can get a bit wild sometimes, so it is alright to alter the rules slightly as you see fit. 

For this challenge, I suggest...

- Start with 20,000 Simoleons and a single Young Adult Sim

- Set life span to normal

- Have every heir follow the same genetic lineage (mother, daughter, etc.)

- Use minimal (preferably no) cheats relating to career or skills

Know that as of late 2022 I am starting to test play this challenge. As I play through each generation I will most likely alter and perfect the rules to make it more fun. Also, if you have any mods that allow for more traits in CAS, use them to enhance your gameplay! (For example, a perfect addition to generation one would be the Cat Lover and Dog Lover traits). Generation one: Pink

- Reach level 10 of the Detective career

- Complete the Friend of the Animals aspiration

- Master Charisma and Pet Training

- Have two or more pets

- Complete the Feather Collection 

Generation Two: Turquoise

You have always been interested in fashion and design, and you dream of making it big in the world. You love to go dancing on weekends with your friends. You know you're talented, and you work hard to show the world all you can do. In your spare time, you love to create new clothes and designs to sell online.

Traits: Overachiever, Self-Assured, Dance Machine

Aspiration: Friend of the World

Rules:

- Reach level 10 of the Style Influencer career 

- Complete the Friend of the World aspiration

- Master Dancing, Painting, Writing and Entrepreneur

- Sell at least 10 different outfits on Trendi

- Have three good friends and three enemies

Generation Three: Green

You spent every second you could as a child daydreaming about a world more fantastical than your own. One day you stumbled across a magical portal that introduced you into a mysterious new realm. You have always felt drawn to plants, and you want nothing more than to run a shop selling your plants and potions. You’re a very relaxed person and never had the drive for a traditional life. You just want to live in peace with your closest friends and your flourishing garden.

Aspiration: Purveyer of Porions

Traits: Green Fiend, Clumsy, Loves the Outdoors

Rules:

- Learn all potions as well as all spells from one or more school of magic

- Have a well-maintained garden

- Master Gardening

- Complete the Purveyor of Potions aspiration

- Run a successful retail business

Generation Four: Violet

Ever since you were gifted a telescope as a child, you have been fascinated by space. Your biggest goal in life is to explore the cosmos. You’re very well-rounded and love to exercise and stay healthy. Despite loving your work, you still make time for friends and romance.

Traits: Ambitious, Active, Genius

Aspiration: Nerd Brain

Rules:

- Reach level 10 of the Astronaut career

- Complete the Nerd Brain aspiration

- Master Fitness, Logic, and Rocket Science 

- Build a rocket ship, travel to Sixam, and befriend an Alien

- Complete the Space Prints collection

- Run a club with six or more of your good friends

Generation five: Yellow

Cozy is your middle name, and you love to bundle up by the fire and write wholesome novels. You’re very optimistic, cheerful, and lazy. You’ve always dreamed of finding your soulmate and want nothing more than a happy and loving life.

Traits: Bookworm, Lazy, Cheerful

Generation Six: Red

You’re a mischievous goofball who loves to cause mayhem and pull pranks. You have a hard time taking things seriously, and you would rather goof off than pay attention in class. As you get older, you begin to take crime more seriously.

Aspiration: Public Enemy

Rules:

- Master Mischief and Comedy

- Complete the Public Enemy aspiration

- Be enemies with your neighbors

- Marry your Partner in Crime

- Have only one child

Generation Seven: Blue

You never felt like your parents understood you, and you spent most of your time in your room as a child. You love science and heard stories of your great-grandparent’s epic intergalactic adventures. You’re a natural at chemistry which leads you to become a great scientist and an even greater baker. 

Traits: Loner, Materialistic, Foodie

Aspiration: Renaissance Sim

Rules:

- Reach level 10 of the Scientist career

- Complete the Renaissance Sim aspiration

- Master Logic and Baking

- Have only one friend as a child and stay friends with them forever

- Complete the crystals collection

- Be good friends with your grandparent(s)

Generation eight: Magenta

You always dreamed of having a large family, and you aspire to be a master programmer. Cupid never seems to be on your side, but that’s alright since your family always has your back. 

Aspiration: Computer Whiz

Traits: Family Oriented, Geek, Romantic

Rules:

- Reach level 10 of the Tech Guru career

- Complete the Computer Whiz aspiration

- Master Programming and Parenting

- Have children with three different Sims

- Have three failed relationships

- Join the part time Streamer career as a Teen

Generation nine: Black and White

Growing up, your household was loving and energetic. You love being outdoors, and you’re extremely athletic. You’re pretty indecisive and have a hard time picking a path to follow.

Traits: Active, Adventurous, Loves the Outdoors  

Aspiration: Extreme Sports Enthusiast

Rules:

- Join the Athlete career

- Quit your job as an Adult to pursue your dreams

- Complete the Extreme Sports Enthusiast aspiration

- Master Fitness, Rock Climbing, and another athletic skill

- Join a sports team in high school or university

- Go on an expedition up Mt. Komorebi

Generation ten: Orange

You have always found yourself drawn to animals. You dream of running your own farm, and you also really love decorating and getting in the spirit for holidays. You have a sunny disposition and want nothing more than a happy life and family. 

Traits: Animal Enthusiast, Cheerful, Freegan

Aspiration: Country Caretaker

Rules:

- Complete the Country Caretaker aspiration

- Master Gardening and Charisma

- Complete Errands for five different Henford-On-Bagely townies

- Run a successful farm

Initially, Stanley Kubrick offered Alex North to compose an original score for 2001: A Space Odyssey. After completing the assignment, Kubrick chose not to use North’s score and, instead, used calmer notes of classical music from Johann Strauss II, Richard Strauss, and György Ligeti. Unaware that his score was not used in the final product, North became devastated once he saw a screening of the film at the New York premiere in 1968.

Kubrick later explained that, “However good our best film composers may be, they are not a Beethoven, a Mozart, or a Brahms. Why use music which is less good when there is such a multitude of great orchestral music available from the past and from our own time? When you are editing a film, it's very helpful to be able to try out different pieces of music to see how they work with the scene...Well, with a little more care and thought, these temporary tracks can become the final score.”

In retrospect, North admitted, “Well, what can I say? It was a great, frustrating experience, and despite the mixed reaction to the music, I think the Victorian approach with mid-European overtones was just not in keeping with the brilliant concept of Clarke and Kubrick."

so for this week i decided to capture a lot of the green around the front and back of my house, i boosted up the saturation so you could see it better and its so pretty. even though the majority of it all are weeds, its nice to see spring coming around soon
