The truth is, I'm driven to pull apart the things I love to see how and why they work. I have to deconstruct things to see how far they can bend.
Things like the number system, the alphabet, the works. If it's a thing I find useful, even something like astrology or tarot, I have to comb through everything to find what about it vibes with me so much. But to do that, I have to break it at some point, then profane all the pieces and parts left over.
It's a form of consumption as far as I'm concerned. That's why I fucked around with the decimal system and then decided to see how I could fit Ophiuchus from the fixed stars into a different system with its own house. Before all of this, I was creating new, fictional alphabets partially out of curiosity.
And well before that, as a child, I was taking electronic things apart to get an idea of what was inside. I can't stop the curiosity. It's all just part of studying the world. I'm happy to turn the art of divination, or fortune telling, into something I can study as you would anthropology.
If it makes me insane, that's ok. That's not even something I find worth caring about. I have many other things infinitely more valuable to carry into my future. Sanity, in any case, is relative to circumstances and therefore contextualized in different ways all the time.
