With the World Cup around the corner, global hat retailer Lids is leaning into the excitement and identity that come with the world’s biggest sporting event. Blending culture, fashion, and sports with a light sense of humor, the brand is rolling out a new campaign designed to connect with fans everywhere.

Called “Wear Many Caps,” the campaign stars NFL quarterback Jameis Winston and rapper/DJ Paul Wall, bringing personality and energy to the lead-up to the tournament. Alongside the campaign, Lids is offering a wide range of World Cup gear, from host city T-shirts to national team jerseys and, of course, a deep selection of hats—making it a one-stop shop for fans looking to represent their country, city, or love for the game.

Launching today, the campaign highlights the multicultural spirit of the World Cup, celebrating the pride, heritage, and individuality that fans bring to the global stage. At the same time, it underscores the shared passion that unites them. Winston and Wall appear in a series of comedic videos set in an auto shop, where they chop it up about the tournament and tap into the excitement surrounding the beautiful game.

This Thursday, customers at 12 select locations will be invited to rip open Topps Chrome Basketball cards in-store. Fans who pull one of 50 specially selected autographed cards will receive a free NBA jersey of their choice. Merging the collectible cultures of Lids and Topps, this one-day-only experience (available from store open to close) gives fans a chance to showcase their team pride while building their ultimate collections across both trading cards and jerseys.

To mark the event and celebrate the launch of the 2025–26 Topps Chrome Basketball set on the 18th, Lids will partner with hobby influencers Swish Breaks and Dave & Adam’s to live-stream card rips from two New York City locations: the NBA Store (545 5th Ave, New York, NY 10017) and Lids 42nd Street (237 W 42nd St, New York, NY 10036).

Swish Breaks will kick off the live stream from the NYC NBA Store at 9:00 a.m. ET, joined by sports media icon Stephen A. Smith, who will stop by to take in the excitement and chat with Jazzy’s World TV. At 10:00 a.m. ET, Dave & Adam’s will go live from the Lids 42nd Street location.

While live-streaming will take place exclusively at the two New York City stores, the full list of participating locations includes:
