I bit into my sandwich at work today and all the book scanners decided to chirp at that exact moment as well
Am I secretly a tech god?????? Idk
my boss: it smells like bell peppers
Me: because I have bell peppers???
My boss: why do you have a whole bell pepper?
Me: *crunch*
True story 🤣
We just had a dude come in and WD40 all our chairs then donate the can of said WD40.... We already had our own can of WD40 for the library 😂😂😂😂
working the front desk of a library is so fun and chill until EVERYONE NEEDS HELP RIGHT NOW DURING THIS EXACT FIVE-MINUTES and then it's chill again

we track questions and answers at our library and since we are now keycard entry only (thanks security) we get a lot of calls about letting people into the library
We have a button to track that now 😂
we had the cutest patron come into the library yesterday.
she was like...one? maybe? whatever, she was itty bitty and had exactly one (1) DVD case that she did her best to give to us.
it was a success and hopefully we created a lifelong love of the library when four separate people at the desk applauded her placing it in the book drop
gentle reminder from your friendly neighborhood librarian:
IT IS NOT OUR FAULT IF YOU ORDER A BOOK TO THE WRONG LIBRARY
thank you <3
