I decided to pick some books off of my Libby TBR list 🙂↕️
The last color was a bitch to find. The color is not that close, but it was either that one or The Summer I Turned Pretty 🤧
(Fun fact: The author sent me a signed paperback copy of The One That Got Away With Murder 🥰 I have it on my shelf.)
I am, obviously, very pro-Libby
But one of the complaints I hear over and over again IRL and online is that the hold queue is absurdly long. Fair!
I’m not sure how many of y’all are also checking the library’s catalog to see what the hold queue is over on the physical books.
As an example, the extremely popular Heated Rivalry books have an 18 week hold on my library’s Libby catalog. OTOH, I walked into my local branch this week and pulled every book right off the shelf.
Yesteryear, another extremely popular book has a 6 week hold time in my Libby but I’m second in the hold queue for four physical copies in my library system.
God forgive me for my covetous behavior on Libby. There are 19 people waiting in total and 5 people waiting per copy and I deserve it more than all of you.
