The entrance to Inverness Botanic Garden has recently been landscaped with a great plant association of Liatris spicata (button snakewort, dense blazing star, Kansas gayfeather) and Liatris spicata 'Alba' with a groundcover, beneath these upright perennials, of Ajuga reptans 'Burgundy Glow' (bugle). Both species grow best in moist but wellβdrained soil with Liatris spicata needing a sunny location.
