Her greeting was interrupted before she could finish it, bright green eyes widening in surprise. Legs stopping mid-swing as she stared up at the taller girl. The guild hall was empty considering how late it was getting, the sun still managing to peek over the silhouette of the town. The sky spattered in multiple colors that she could glimpse through the window.
But sunsets weren’t as interesting after seeing them for so many years and without a guarantee that she would never see them again. Instead, the girl’s statement took up all of her attention. Studious eyes staring up as her before patting the empty space next to her.
“Alright.” Smile that had fallen off her lips at the abrupt sentence quickly returned. “Is something the matter?” Hands gripping the sides of the table as she leaned forward.
