It’s unbelievable to me that it’s November already and that Thanksgiving is nearly here. We start filming for One of Them is Lying on Monday and so, rather than heading out of town I was thinking of inviting my mom and sister to spend Thanksgiving here again this year, but wanted to check in with you first before I made any plans. Are you planning to head back West or sticking around here for the holiday?

So, so you were right, Olly’s show was like...Amazing. I mean obviously I always knew he was awesome but the way the crowd responds to him is insane. I really feel like we could have timed this better. I’m back tomorrow, but I might need you to make me some chicken noodle soup or something because I’m pretty sure my voice is just barely hanging on at this point and will probably give out by morning! Anyway, I thought I’d see what your schedule was like and if maybe you wanted to hit up one of the Halloween movies this week - more Casper than the Exorcist though because I’m still a chicken!

I hope you enjoyed breakfast - I know Nate and I’s pancakes didn’t even close to measure up to yours (Nate made me promise to tell you that) but we gave it our best shot because we love you and today is your day! Which means PRESENTS!! Can I take a moment to gloat about keeping with our cheese pun card theme even for Father’s Day? The cupcakes were a given, since it’s about the only thing I think I can make better than you! And I started out looking for socks, as usual, but I came across this magical little set that seemed quirky yet stylish enough to be right up your alley! These next things you might have to explain to me a little, but they’re air drums that make actual sound. I figured you’re always air drumming around the house, this way you can actually make some noise! And lastly, (and this is the big one) - I wanted to give you and Nate something you could do together and I was advised on very good authority (my mom) that Nate is coming up on three pretty soon which means he can start riding a bike and I figured that would be a great thing for the two of you to enjy together - especially here in Bayview, my god! Anyway, I tried to make them match a bit - yours was substantially pricier but I’m jealous of this BB8 bike and helmet (why don’t they make these for grown ups?). I did get one for myself as well, in case the two of you ever decide to let me tag along! 

Anyway, I know you already know that I think you’re the bee’s knees but did you also know that I think you’re a stupendous father? Well, now you do! It’s just one of the many, many things I love about you and watching the two of you together brings me endless amounts of joy! I hope you have a fantastic day babe, you deserve it!

So, given the circumstances, this birthday package does have a bit of a theme to it. Even if we have to celebrate early or I have to sneak away for a day or two, I don’t ever want to miss the chance to miss sharing the special moments or days with you and hopefully everything here will remind you, even when we’re clear across the globe from one and other, that you are always on mind. And yes, I will run out of cheesey cards soon but I still had this one! The chocolate kisses are probably pretty self-explanatory but anytime you need one, there’s a whole jar from me to you! I’ve also written you (finally making some use out of all that stationary I’ve collected!) a bunch of ‘Open When’ letters, so that if you ever need me and it’s the middle of the night where I am, you have them to look at (while laying on your very apt Best Boyfriend pillow) and know that I am right there with you (bit creepy stalkerish, right? But you told me I could!). And a cheesy romantic ‘mixtape’ (tracklist below the cut) filled with all the songs that have made me think of you over the past months! This next one is pretty cool - it’s a pair of bracelets, one for each of us, and no matter where we are on the planet, when I touch it, you’ll feel it. And vice versa (I’m really upping this creepy stalker thing, aren’t I?). And lastly, I saw this and immediately thought of you for a variety of reasons, but mostly it was awesome and true and fit with the theme I had going. So now it’s yours! 

I’m so glad I was able to make it back to celebrate with you today. I hope that you enjoyed your day and that this coming year is filled with more happiness than you can bear and be sure that if there is anything I can do to make that true, I will do it. Happiest Birthday to the best boyfriend ever! I love you!

HAPPY ACTUAL VALENTINE’S DAY, BABE!

I know we already did our gift exchange but I didn’t want the day to pass without giving you one more reminder. I love you so much and wish I could be there with you on today of all days but I promise I will make it up to very, very soon. A cupcake bouquet is just the start!

I still can’t believe that I have to be away from you for our first Valentine’s Day together, so thank you for agreeing to celebrate a couple days early with me. My favorite part of this gift is probably the card, just because I found it forever ago and have been hanging on to it, just waiting to be able to give it to you. I’m going to skip over the t-shirt for a minute and get back to it in a minute. Let’s start with the boxers - I know you’re irresistible and everything and I thought I might not have to fight them all off anymore once we were ‘official’, but apparently I’m not the only one who sees how flat out amazing you are, because I feel like I need to state my claim a little louder and the boxers did that nicely, I thought! The socks, those are just well-themed tradition. And while I love you whether you’re in jeans and a plaid or all dressed up, I know how much you love your suits and I won’t pretend I don’t love you in them too, so the tie seemed fitting, but the ‘Always’ tie clip is what really sold, for obvious reasons! People always do those ‘love coupon’ things this time of year and I won’t lie, they’re cheesy enough to be something I’d do so you can imagine how thrilled I was to find ones that described themselves as ‘puketastically romantic’. I cannot wait to put these to use. And, chocolate covered Oreos because I love you and I love Oreos (plus, I kind of thought it was something you could share with Nate that he’d love too!). 

Back to the t-shirt - I know we joke about trophies and such but you really are the best boyfriend any girl could ever ask for. Thank you for being there for me, for supporting me, for making me laugh and for making me feel like just being me is not only enough, but maybe even sexy. Being away from you gets harder and harder each time we have to do it but the last few weeks have been some of the best I’ve ever had and that is entirely because I was with you. I don’t need a special day to say it, because I want you to know every single day, but I love you and I am eternally grateful to have you in my life. 

All I want for Christmas is you!
