Casualty 35x29: Lev’s Coming Out Scene
Remember how in Lev’s introductory scene he tried putting a guy in a bin because they were attempting to dump newborn kittens in there? That was a perfect encapsulation of what a great character he was with so much wasted potential and I’ll die mad about it
Wow this really is a perfect example of bury your gays. Have a gay guy accept who he is and feel like he can finally live his life for himself and then kill him off before he gets to do so. I hope they didn't think they did something with that because it's a trope that's so overdone and expected that as soon as lev used the word gay everyone knew he was gonna be written off the show.
in case anyone needed this today

Something tells me that Casualty hasn't heard of the "bury your gays" trope.. I'm all for the drama but this just feels homophobic now wtf
You know when a new character is introduced and you’re like damn, they’re great - I hope they stay for a long time. That was legit me with Lev - and then his big storyline was revealed and I hoped that meant he would be long lasting; perhaps even one of the ‘iconic’ Casualty characters in the long run.
Well. Needless to say - I’m pretty upset.
His death was so gruesome and unceremonious - yes, he refused to let Fenish die and put himself in risk but it just felt… empty.
ok so i’ve just said this on twitter, but it’s looking like either lev or fenisha dies ?
and the way they’ve really focused on rash not being able to figure out what’s wrong with ollie.. it feels to me like it might be lev and it’s going to be very similar to the dylan situation after cal died and he blamed himself for it ?
idk i’m hoping neither of them die but :/
