A letter to my younger self: You’ll have plenty of times when you feel your life is worthless - but please don't give up. You’ll feel like you will never be good enough, you’ll never fit it no matter how hard you try, you will hate yourself, you’ll go through the lowest times of your life. It’s important to remember - it will pass. And, you will be strong enough to overcome it, and it wont break you. It will change. You will go from a terrified selected mutism child, to a teenager who cant order her own food in a restaurant, or raise her hand in class, to a girl working in her dream job, living in her own flat, meeting new people, going out - becoming stronger than you ever thought, appreciating life, and feeling worth and potential. Who’d thought?! There will be times when you’ll feel lost - but hey, thats what bands are for. You’ve found them for a reason and cling on to them no matter what - they will get you through the days. Forget the scales, forget comparing yourself to others, forget the magazines. You will realise that your heart, what you do, your spirit, your personality, is so much more valuable. You are a unique individual and that’s your biggest asset - just being you. Don’t worry about what others are thinking of you, because you wont know those people soon enough, and you’ll be too busy being your crazy, creative, shy, kind hearted self. Be grateful for the life you have, and everything that happens to you, embrace the qualities that make you unique, and understand that everything will always work out for the best no matter what. (Ps, acne is temporary, and even if it wasn’t, you rock it, and some blemishes on your face - literally make you no less of a person) You will find your one true passion in life - working in SEN - and the hard times in your childhood you had will prove to have been “all part of the plan”. You will experience amazing things, and work with incredible children. It will be a blessing that you just can't get over. I know none of these seem possible to you right now, but just know that I got this. I am so proud of you for carrying on - and becoming you. #letter #lettertomyself #lettertomyselfchallenge #selflove https://www.instagram.com/p/ByODjeUHsCx/?igshid=zhebj9p0jfio
