Imagine, there is a child. Lost and astray, he does not know the path ahead. All he could see is the dark abyss, he feels someone is there. Someone or something, maybe his answers to all ?

Now, what you have to do is write a letter from the child to abyss OR a letter to the child from the abyss.

Letter:

"Oh dear child,

You would like to go home ? of course you would, who wouldn't ? Let me show you how, first put your hand on your chest. Do you feel anything ? The puffing of your chest and…. A sound ? Remember, you will always have a place, time, and strength to do anything as long as you can hear that sound. That comes from your life ! As long as you have your life in your hand, you can find home anywhere, where that life of yours feels complete. Did I make it hard to understand ? Then all you have to do is listen to that sound, it is where your home is. Inside you, whenever you need a help to build that home, remember I am always here, looking at you from the dark. Forever.

It is a pleasure to write to you again! I am grateful for your interest, and I’m glad that making the decision to post my letter responses publicly has not been for naught.

To answer your question, I will gladly tell you! His name is Lucien Flavius, an Imperial man I met in Falkreath inside the tavern “Dead Man’s Drink”. I’m pretty sure when he gets walked up to me that night he had expected someone who wasn’t wearing drenched robes, smelled of sea salt, and looked about as miserable as a cat thrown into the ocean. I had nothing but the clothes on my back, with barely enough coin to afford another carriage ride after the one I had already taken.

Be it from pity or the goodness of his heart (I’m inclined to believe the latter) he gave me an offer after seeing the sorry state I was in. He paid me an amount of gold upfront on the condition that I protect him while he’s on his research expedition. (Though if I had to be honest, he was doing more of the protecting at first.) He helped me get a change of clothes and a room to stay in for the night, and when morning came we set off to explore the land and take whatever jobs people give us on the way.

He’s a good man, though nowadays he’s back to doing more reading than adventuring since the dragon attacks have been declining as of late, and he is a scholar first and foremost. But I know I can always rely on him to have my back whenever I need it. He’s grown a lot since we’ve first met!

But we have been spending more time together recently, in fact he’s here with me as I’m writing this! (He says “hello” by the way!) I asked for his help a few days ago with a little research project I’m doing, the one I mentioned in my last letter to you, so we have been quite busy with that. He’s very flattered that someone has asked about him though!

Nestled into her chair, Rian sat at the desk in the Captain’s quarters of the Silver Grace. Grey-green hues looking over the letter delivered just before their departure from the cove that held Wintermeda Harbor. Straightening her posture, the Countess leaned forward, resting her elbows on the deep mahogany desktop, both hands curled around her coffee cup as she breathed out to help it cool. Only after she was able to manage a sip did she side to put the drink down to reach for one of the ledgers. It’d not be an easy call to answer as much as she’d like it to be. But it would be one she’d see answered none the less.

“Mm.. Thaylynn?” her gaze lifted upward towards where he’d been standing only to realize he’d taken leave to the upper decks to sea the frigate out to sea. An unease set about her with the burdens that came with war. With another sip of her coffee she reminded herself to breath. A proper response would have to wait for now. 

She’d quickly pen out before they were too far from shore; 

Marshal Bennas; The current effort to rid the Horde from our homelands is long over due. House Kestavin and House Valteric stand ready to heed the call of the Alliance as well as offer what support we are capable of providing. Once the ink had dried, the parchment was folded, sealed and released with a raven back to shore, Rian weaved through the cabins, careful not to let herself remain in anyone’s way for longer than necessary. The movement seemed to help the weight of unease. More so were the faces that had joined or been called for escorts to the foreign city. 

The coastal wind pulled and hipped at her hair as she reached the aft of the ship. Her gaze resting on the land behind slowly getting smaller and further away. Larger hands moved around her form, pulling her closer to his chest as he often did when he found her lost in thought. Rian leaned back into the hold, turning her head enough to rest her cheek to his chest. “There are more pushing North. As you said.” her green hues lifting to meet his own. “I’ve let them know they’ve our support of course.”

It was a deep rumbled hum adorning Thaylynn’s nod. “Good.” Catching the caution in her gaze he gave her a small smile, “Short trip then, little wolf?” Her own response came with a nod and his words repeated, though toned with a pang of regret, “Short trip.”

Thank you for such a kind ask! I am happy to inform you that I am doing quite well for myself now. Adventuring through Skyrim was and still is an exhausting task, however I’m fortunate enough that I had my three companions there for me along the way!

As for your question, it took me to think! There’s been so many influential and historical figures throughout Tamriel’s history that have, for better or for worse, fundamentally changed the way we live our lives. I do not think I have an exact favorite, but I do have one that I admire the most, and one that I wish to know more about that I can describe to you!

Vanus Galerion was the founder and first guildmaster of the Mage’s Guild, and he paved the way to allow for magic to become something that truly anyone could use! I would have loved to meet him in his prime when he was still alive, and as an aspiring mage I would have loved to ask him all sorts of questions about magic and it’s fundamentals.

The Nerevarine is often addressed as the hero of Morrowind, Azura’s champion, and protector of the dunmer people. During the third era they managed to end the threat of Dagoth Ur within Red Mountain, denounce the false gods, and help bring back the worship of the three good daedra. Unfortunately, information about who exactly they were is scarce. It’s been around 200 years since then, and many of the people who would have met them personally have either died from old age or perished during the red year.

They are a figure I’m highly interested in researching about, especially given my dunmer heritage. It’s what my current project is about actually, I intend to find the identity of this long forgotten hero and I am confident that in my next expedition to Solstheim I will be able to uncover more information on them! Or at the very least, be given a name.

In truth I am doing quite alright, today has been another eventful day of research and the occasional hero business. I was asked very sudden if I could deal with a mine overrun by daugr while I was in the middle of reaching for a book in the college of winterhold’s library! I nearly fell off my step ladder at that!

Can’t a girl have a single day where people don’t complain about caves or any of dark and spooky place overrun by some sort of undead? Why is it always caves! Regardless, I did manage to gather quite a bit of useful finds from the library before I was dragged of, though none of it was what I was looking for. Perhaps I’ll have better luck if I ask that orc librarian for some insight. Though in the mean time I will be spending the entirety of tomorrow working on washing my clothes profusely in an attempt to finally scrub off that disgusting stench of undead on my nice robes...

What an interesting question! I have been asked this a couple times before, but the story is not all that exciting. Though I do have to provide some context before getting to the important part!

I had arrived on Skyrim through boat to seek adventure, and I along with a companion I encountered we went to explore around Skyrim a bit! We eventually unconvered the decrepit remains of what was once Helgen, and after finding a surviving imperial solder inside a cave we were instructed to warn the Jarl of Whiterun about the situation and the fact that it had been a dragon attack that took place!

As I was explaining the situation to the Jarl, a guardsman rushed into the scene claiming that he spotted a dragon hovering nearby! And for some reason that I will never understand, he decided that my companion and I should accompany his housecarl to investigate.

(Perhaps it’s because we managed to uncover the dragonstone? Not sure why he’d still want two -at the time- inexperienced fighters to look into a potentially life threatening dragon sighting though...)

After we all miraculously managed to slay the dragon, we all watched as it’s corpse withered and the skin looked like it was burning to a crisp.

A strange energy surrounded me, it was the strangest feeling. Nothing will ever beat the experience of absorbing that very first dragon soul in my opinion: the heavy weight in my stomach, the fogginess in my head, the vision in my eyes sharpening, the sense of accomplishment and most of all: the desire for more. It was an intoxicating feeling, and I am lucky that the Whiterun guard who ran towards me with nothing but awe in his voice shook me out of it.

He explained to me that I was Dragonborn, and the legend around it. At the time I was barely acquainted with the concept, my only knowledge from history books mentioning the great royal Dragonborn lineage of Cyrodiil.

I didn’t quite believe it at first, you’d think the legendary Dragonborn destined to defeat Alduin would have been a Nord rather than a meek dunmer girl but I suppose Akatosh had other plans! Speaking with the Greybeards, learning words of power and actually shouting.. it really does not leave you room for doubt.
