asalamu alaykum aisyah !!!
i the smal....... have a little requesttt 😌
i really love the drawing you did with bellota holding some flowers, as well as germania holding cornflowers. for reference, bellota's main symbolistic flower throughout her story is the cressleaf weed flower, its a very important and beautiful symbol for her and rodin. to explain it i think i would have to show you the book i wrote of them, though (which im thinking of showing you!!! if you say yes, ill send you the finished bellota and rodin novel. but its a whole book, so it might take many days to finish, inshaallah 😁)
okay, wait, im getting off topic---
my request is for you to draw germania and bellota holding their respective flowers together. maybe them sharing with each other? i think the yellow flowers would look good with the blue ones.
thats all ‼️ jazakhallahu khair !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!🥰🥰🥰
Waalaikumussalam, Smal. Thank you so very much for this request.
First of all, I enjoyed researched about the flower. To my surprise, the cressleaf weed flower is an invasive species that carries a toxic compound that if injested by humans, can cause liver damage and loss of appetite. So, to hold it, wearing gloves are a must.
Cornflowers, tho, they tell another story. Cornflowers are used as medicine and tea. The flowers help with curing stress. (wait, this somehow reminded me of Country City CH3. No mentions of cornflowers there, but basically the symbolism is that Germania's crayons is the cornflower that cured Francesca's mind of reveries help her paint again.)
My theory is, Bellota is a girl to provide, as all flowers will, but then someday, she has to learn to be herself before someone else is affected overwhelmingly by her attributes of naive kindness.
Okay, I guess that's it. Here's the drawing. Thank you, Smal.
