_________________________________________
Class was quiet, yet it felt so loud at the same time. You could feel the stares and the whispers from your classmates.
âItâs really her,â
âLook at her jacketâ
âI canât believe she actually goes hereâ
You couldnât bring yourself to look at up, you pretended to be focused on your notes,
yet you couldnât read a single word. You sat in the back row this time, it was better to avoid the eyes of your peers.
You felt a note slide into your peripheral view.
You need to be careful
You didnât even have to look and see who it came from, you quickly scribbled back,
I know
As quickly as you returned it, he already sent it back to you.
No you donât
Your heartbeat pounded against your ribcage, you looked toward him, he was looking straight, his jaw locked in place. You wanted to question him, what could he possibly know about this situation? It was too risky to try and ask now, You sent a text to Yvonne asking for a study group tonight, she nodded, going back to doodling in her notes. Even if you tried to speak to him right after class there were security nearby and--
âDo you know the answer, y/n?â The professor interrupted your train of thought. Everyone slowly turned toward you, and you felt their gaze bore into your eyes.
You steadied your breathing and looked straight to the board,
âPathogen.â
âCorrect,â he said, before turning back to his computer where he projected the lecture slides.
Your phone buzzed repeatedly, you knew your name would be trending, you didnât even have to look. Before you had entered class, you swiftly set your socials to âprivateâ. The follow requests buzzed, and you wanted to bury your head under the desk.
Another note slid your way,
Batting cages
West Baseball Field
After class
You wanted to shake your head ânoâ, if he or his security found out, you donât know what heâd do to youâŠor Lando. You shuddered at the memory of what he did to that poor boy at the dinner. You looked at him, and he kept his eyes on the projector screen.
Lecture was finally over, you gathered your things and crumbled the note, stuffing it into your pocket. Students were moving a bit slower than usual, their eyes lingering on you as they slowly gathered their things.
You tried to search in the class to see if his security were in here, no one seemed to be looking at you, so you quickly said,
âWhat do you mean I donât know?â you asked Lando without making any contact.
âI canât explain here,â he said, slowly putting his things away.
You guys slowly started to head down the stairs of the lecture room, âIâm not even supposed to be talking to you, if Cameron finds out heâll--â
â--I knowâ. He turned back to you, looking into your eyes. And for a moment, time stood still, you were both having a silent conversation, as his hardened eyes bored into your fearful ones, they softened into a pleading look.
Just then, he slid another note to you. This one was thicker, slightly bigger. You unfolded it and almost gasped,
It was a child photo of you and some other boy with glasses, braces, and an arm cast.
How did he
But then, you connected the dots, you looked up,
and down,
You looked at himâreally looked this time.
The glasses. The jaw. The eyes.
Oh my GodâŠ
Memories flooded into you,
Crashing into you all at once.
Before Cameron, before you moved to the new neighborhood, you didnât really have many memories of your old neighborhood and early childhood. Your parents would call what went on there as a ârough patchâ.
Money was rarely there, words were said, even hands were thrown. It made you dissociate whenever you were there.
You remember one time, it got so bad, you had run out of the house, and made your way to the park.
You met a boy there, broken glasses, braces, skin just like yours. He had a lisp from his braces, and he was sitting on the wood chips, holding his right arm with tears on his face.
He looked at you, squinting, âAre you okay?â Heâd ask, you nodded, asking him, âAre you?â
He stood up slowly, coming face to face with you, âWhy ith your fathe wet like minethâths?â He then used his left arm to wipe them away.
âThank you, do you like Winnie the Pooh?â You asked him, he nodded eagerly, wiping his own away. âMy friends call me Tigger!â He started jumping up and down despite his injury.
âIâm Orlando, but I go by Tigger more,â he stuck out his left hand, you shook it.
You smiled, âIâm y/n, but call me Winnie,â you pulled him in for a hug and you had been friends since.
You would play whenever you could leave out, which was often, you would share each other snacks at school and walk each other home. You would confide in him about your problems at home, and heâd tell you about his, but with very vague details, he was always happen to listen to you.
Things started getting better at home, dad got a new job, they were happy again, and you were happy again. You would also go by the Saviors stadium with dadâs new promotion being able to take the family out more often.
You saw Tigger less and less, your parents announced theyâd be moving, so you spent more time in your new neighborhood the summer of 7th grade. Your parents wanted you acclimated to the kids over there, it never worked though, you were pretty much born an introvert.
Once the moving was completed, you mostly stayed inside, reading. You didnât have time to tell Tigger youâd be gone, you kind of justâŠstopped coming.
You disappeared from his life.
And now he was standing right in front of youâ
and you hadnât even recognized him.
You had no phone, no email, or any form of communication with him. He was just, a forgotten memory of your past.
Soon, the memories you shared of him were pushed to the back of your mindâespecially once you met Cameron.
Your eyes welled up with tears, you looked around hastily, seeing if security was in here, you couldnât be too sure. You looked at him, this time with more familiarity, he looked down at you, he couldnât contain his smile. You wanted to hug him, but the reality of your situation brought you back.
You knew the stakes of being seen with Lando, it wasnât just security you had to watch out for,
it was the students,
His fans.
The events of the last few weeks have beenâŠinteresting (yet that was an understatement). CameronâŠhe was still your Cameron, but he was just soâŠdifferent at the same time. The way people were so captivated with him,
It was as if they were devoted to him. That same reverence that the waiter had for Isaiah, you were starting to see it everywhere now with Cameron. You felt like you were losing yourself, like your choices werenât yours anymore. Cameron had a leash on you and as the days went by, that leash felt tighter,
You felt like you were being choked. You knew Cameron wanted whatâs best for you, but was his way of endearing care? Or control?
âOkay,â you said, as you were getting closer to the door, not facing Lando.
âIâll go, but, we have to be discreet. There are eyesâŠeverywhere.â
Lando nodded, âAlready ahead of you,â he pulled out his phone, a map appeared on his screen.
âIf you go to the South End,â he pointed to one corner, âthereâs a utility hallway that leads to the West Baseball field outhouse. Walk behind the dugout, around hereâŠâ
he traced his finger around the dugout, to a giant X,
â...and the batting cages are right there.â
You nodded, until a memory popped into your head,
âWait, I thought the South End womenâs bathrooms were closed due to construction,â he waved you off,
âThis place has been saying that for what---how many years now? I already checked it out--the doors even fucking unlocked.â
You still seemed unsure of this, what if a student saw you? What if security saw you?
Lando looked around, before he put his hand on your shoulder,
âDonât worry Winnie, I got you, trust me,â he rubbed your arm in reassurance. You took a deep breath, Cameron was long gone already, so that eliminated one factor to worry about.
You looked at him and nodded, âYouâre right, thank you Tigger.â you smiled.
âFollow my lead,â he said, he opened the door and yelled out,
âHEY!!! I HEARD CAMERON CADE IS ON THE EAST CAMPUS PATIO! HEâS GIVING OUT FREE TICKETS!â he pointed the opposite direction of where youâd have to go.
Everyone took off in a frenzy, rushing to get to the patio first. As soon as the hallway was cleared, he opened the classroom door again, motioning for you to join him. You both ran to the South Womenâs Bathrooms.
The place was like a relic, stuck in time. These bathrooms were probably used in the 60âs--70âs latest. The lights were off and you used your phone light to find the other door. He used his shoulder to get the utility closet door open, when he opened it, a cloud of dust blew.
It was dark and the smell was murky,
He put his hand on the small of your back to guide you, before resorting to holding your hand. He was able to navigate blindly through the pathway with no light, and it was even darker than the Womenâs Bathroom.
After a few turns, he opened a door and you could finally see the light from outside. You ran a hand through your hair, making sure you werenât caught up in any cobwebs.
You could see the West Baseball Field a few meters away, you guys were near the back of the dugout. âHome stretch,â stated Lando, âlet's go.â You both set off at a steady pace, within a minute or so, you arrived at the batting cages.
You huffed, placing your hands on your knees as you leaned over, out of breath. Your cardio wasnât the best, you hadnât really worked out since before Cameron left for Isaiahâs compound and off-season training.
âSo,â you huffed, âwhat *breath* were you trying *breath* to tell me? *breath* *breath* *breath*â.
You guys went to a seat within one of the cages. He guided you to a seat, âYou might want to sit down for this.â Despite not wanting to, you sat down anyways, looking at him.
He took a deep breath, closing his eyes for a bit, âCameron isnât who you think he is, Winnie.â he looked at you to see what your reaction would be.
You furrowed your eyebrows, âPfft, weâll I mean, yeah, heâs a quarterback for one of the biggest teams in the country--â
â--Thatâs not what I mean y/n.â Lando cut you off, if thatâs not what he meant, what other possible explanation could there be?
âHas he been acting different? Have people around him been?â
You thought hard about it, yes, you noticed a bit of a difference, especially the mall.
But thatâs just regular celebrity stuff, celebrities get free stuff all the time.
âWell I meanâŠwe were at the mall last weekend and all of our stuff was free? I donât think thatâs really odd.â you shrugged your shoulders.
He shook his head, âThink Winnie, anything at all? Any personality changes that you werenât apparent before?â
Lando shook his head slowly. âThink, Winnie. Anything. Even small.â
You hesitated.
Your fingers tightened around the edge of the bench.
ââŠHeâs just under a lot of pressure,â you said quietly. âThatâs all.â Lando didnât move. Didnât blink.
âThatâs not what I asked.â
The silence stretched, your chest felt tight.
You swallowed. ââŠHe gets angry,â you admitted.
Landoâs jaw ticked.
âHow angry?â
You looked away.
Your voice dropped.
âThere was this waiter⊠at dinner.â
Lando straightened slightly, eyes locking onto you.
âWhat happened?â
You hesitated againâbut this time, the memory forced its way out.
âHe spilled wine on me,â you said. âAnd Cameron just⊠snapped.â
Your fingers trembled slightly in your lap.
âHe grabbed him. Slammed him into the table. He went ballisticâŠâ your voice shook, âNo one could stop him.â
You swallowed hard.
âIt was until Isaiah told him to stop.â
Silence.
Lando didnât react right away.
But something in his expression shiftedâsharp, immediate.
âIf it werenât for the wine he spilled on meâŠâ you trailed off.
Landoâs eyes narrowed.
âWhat kind of wine?â
You blinked, thrown off.
ââŠWhat?â
âThe wine, Winnie. What kind?â
âIâI donât know,â you said, confused. âRed? It tasted⊠kind of bitterââ
ââMetallic?â
Your breath hitched.
SlowlyâŠ
you nodded.
ââŠYeah.â
Lando leaned back slightly, like that confirmed something he didnât want to be true.
âDo you feel any different since then?â he asked, quieter now.
Your brows furrowed.
âWhat? NoâLando, what are you talking about?â
He studied your face like he was putting pieces together.
Thenâ
âHas he ever put his hands on you?â
Your breath caught.
You didnât answer.
And that was answer enough.
Landoâs expression hardened instantly.
Slowlyâcarefullyâhe reached out and tilted your chin upward.
You froze.
His eyes scanned your neck.
The faint bruise.
Still there.
His jaw clenched.
Then his gaze dropped to your arm.
Another one.
Something in him snapped.
ââŠHe did this?â his voice came out low. Dangerous.
You couldnât speak.
Lando let go of your chin abruptly, standing up so fast the bench scraped loudly against the ground.
âAre you serious right now?â his voice cracked, anger spilling through. âWinnieâhe put his hands on you and youâre still sitting here defending him?!â
You flinched.
âHe didnât mean toââ
âDonât.â Lando snapped.
His hands dragged through his hair, pacing once, twice. âThatâs not an accident. Thatâs not pressure. Thatâs not love.â He turned back to you, eyes burning. âThatâs control.â
Your heart pounded in your chest.
âYou donât understandââ
âNo, you donât understand.â His voice dropped, intense, urgent. âYou are not safe with him.â The words hit harder this time. âYou need to get away from him. Now.â
âIâŠI canât do that, heâll find me one way or another,â you said, defeated. You buried your face into your hands, until a thought came to you.
âBut LandoâŠhow did you know about the taste of the wine?â You asked, facing him again.
Lando stared at you, wondering just how much to tell you. He exhaled deeply, running his hands up and down his knees.
ââŠCameron isâŠHim.â
You blinked.
ââŠYeah,â you said, confused. âThey call him that online all the time, whatâs your pointââ
ââNo.â Lando cut in, sharper this time. âNot like that.â
You froze.
âHeâs not really Cameron anymore.â
Silence fell between you.
Thick.
Uncomfortable.
Lando swallowed, his jaw tightening before he spoke again.
âThereâsâŠsomething else,â he said carefully. âSomething thatâs been around a lot longer than any of us.â
Your fingers tightened around your sleeves.
âWhat are you talking aboutâŠ?â
âItâs not just fame, Winnie,â he continued, his voice lower now. âItâs not just talent, or pressure, or luck.â
He looked at you.
Dead serious.
âItâs a partnership.â
Your stomach dropped.
âA partnershipâŠ?â
He nodded once.
âWith something that feeds off attention. Worship. Power.â
Your breathing slowed.
Unsteady.
âIt found humans a long time ago,â Lando said. âWatched how people idolize thingsâsports, fame, statusâŠhow theyâll give everything to win.â
His eyes darkened slightly.
âAnd how theyâll give everything to someone who can win for them.â
A chill ran down your spine.
âSo it started offering something back.â
You didnât interrupt.
Couldnât.
âPower. Influence. Control. The kind of control that makes people follow you without even realizing it.â
Your mind flashedâ
The mall.
The cashier .
The way people looked at Cameron.
Lando leaned forward slightly.
âThey donât just admire him, Winnie.â
His voice dropped.
âThey need him.â
Your chest tightened.
âAnd CameronâŠâ Lando exhaled, shaking his head slightly. âCameron made that deal.â
Your lips parted, but no words came out.
âHeâs the quarterback,â Lando continued. âThe one everyone depends on. The one who carries the team. The face of everything.â
His gaze locked onto yours.
âThatâs exactly the kind of person it chooses.â
Your heartbeat pounded in your ears.
âWith the Saviors?â he added quietly. âTheir star player? Their golden boy?â
A pause.
Thenâ
âThe Saviors didnât just find it.â
Landoâs voice dropped to almost a whisper.
âIt found them.â
You stood up quickly,
âNoâŠI donât believe you.â You shook your head violently
âWinnie you know I wouldnât lie to you,â Lando tried to hold your shoulders with his hands,
You ripped them off.
âThatâs insane!â You exclaimed, âCameron is a man of God and he wouldnât do something like thatââ
ââSo why does he put his hands on you? Huh?! I bet you right now he doesnât even have a Bible at his placeâ Lando threw his hands up, this shut you up.
âItâs because of the demonâŠthe demon needs someone by his sideâŠsomeone who whoâs compliment, submissiveâŠâ
He looked you up and down,
âAnd that person is you.â
You laughed, but nothing was funny. You couldnât believe what was going on, itâs only been a week and your world was turned upside down.
Lando seemed to know a lot about whatever was going on, you quirked an eyebrow and put a hand on your hip,
âSo, you gonna tell me what you are then?â You asked him.
Lando stilled for a moment, wondering how carefully heâd have to choose his words. âTiggerâŠâ you called him by his childhood name, Lando exhaled and stuffed his hands in his pockets.
âItâsâŠcomplicatedâarg!â He put his hand up to his head, bending over in pain. But you didnât care.
âDidnât seem so complicated when you were telling me my boyfriend was the damn devil!â
âY/n,â he said in pain, his breaths becoming ragged, âI promise you thatâurgghââ
âMaybe youâre just mad that I had left after all of these years andââ
âARGHH! SILENCE!â Landoâs voice boomed, it sent you to the ground. But something about it was off, it sounded layered,
as if two people were speaking at the same time.
âWE WILL NOT TAKE THIS KIND OF DISRESPECT FROM YOU MORTALâ he said, standing over you.
You noticed that Landoâs eyes were darkâ
âalmost black,
Just like Cameronâs would be.
He started making his way over, taking slow, deliberate steps to where you were. You tried scooching back, but you were rooted in fear.
His breathing became even, he took a deep breath, closing his eyes, when he exhaled, his eyes were back to normal.
âSoâŠdo you believe us now?â He said, tilting his head lightly. Your eyes looked ready to bug out, but you slowly nodded anyway.
ââââââââââââââââââââââââ
You and Lando promptly went to the library. Prior to that, he retrieved a San Antonio University Angels hoodie for you to use that would prevent people from noticing you too well.
Lando checked out a study room, and you hastily made your way toward it.
In the study room, 1 out of the 4 walls was glass, while the others were soundproofed interior. There was a giant whiteboard with wheels to move it around, Lando moved it to the glass wall, to avoid anyone seeing it was you inside.
âI want to knowâŠeverything.â You said.
Next scene
You sat across from Lando, your fingers twisting together in your lap, trying to make sense of everything he had already said.
ââŠThere are different entities,â he said quietly. âDifferebr ones have different contacts. DifferentâŠrules.â
Your brows furrowed.
ââŠDid you sign one too?â
Lando shook his head immediately.
âNo.â
A pause.
âI was born into it.â
Your stomach dropped.
âWhat does that even mean?â
He leaned back slightly, exhaling.
âItâs been in my family for generations,â he said. âThis entityâit doesnât just move on.â
His jaw tightened.
âIt stays. It splits. ItâŠmultiplies.â
You stared at him.
ââŠThat sounds worse.â
âIt is,â he muttered.
His gaze shifted toward the whiteboard covering the glass wall.
Thenâ
he raised his hand.
With a small flick of his fingers, something appeared above the table.
Two forms.
One burned a deep, restless red.
The otherâcool, shifting blue.
They moved like smoke.
Like sand.
Like they were breathing.
Your breath caught.
âRed,â Lando said, nodding toward the crimson one.
Thenâ
âBleu.â
The two forms circled each other slowly, like they were aware of one another.
âTheyâre not just similar,â he said.
âTheyâre brothers.â
Your chest tightened.
âThey came from the same place. The sameâŠnothing.â
The smoke shifted.
Figures formed.
Men.
Dark-skinned.
Cloth wrapped around their waists.
Spears in hand.
ââŠThey came here together,â Lando said. âCenturies ago.â
A beat.
ââŠNigeria.â
The figures moved.
Thenâ
another shape formed.
Gold.
Feminine.
Radiant.
And for a secondâ
it looked like you.
Your breath hitched.
âThey both found her,â Lando said.
âThey both wanted her.â
The red and blue figures turned toward the golden one.
And thenâ
Landoâs body went still.
His voice dropped.
Layered.
âI found her first.â
Cold.
Not human.
Then he blinkedâ
and staggered slightly.
âJesusââ he muttered, rubbing his head. âCan you let me finish without hijacking my body for five seconds?â
He rolled his eyes, but there was tension underneath it.
Like it wasnât fully a joke.
âThey fought,â he continued. âNot just as themselvesâbut through people.â
The table shifted againâ
More figures.
Red.
Blue.
Clashing.
Weapons striking.
A war.
âThey created multiples,â Lando said. âUsed humans as extensions of themselves.â
Your chest tightened watching the figures collide.
âFor years, they fought.â
A pause.
âUntil Red âdied.ââ
The red form flickeredâ
but didnât disappear.
ââŠHe didnât,â Lando said quietly.
âHe survived.â
The image shifted.
A wounded soldier.
Barely breathing.
âRed stayed,â Lando said. âInside him.â
His eyes darkened.
âHe liked it here.â
A beat.
âHe liked us.â
Your stomach turned.
âThe violence. The competition. The way humans will give everythingâbody, mind, soulâto win.â
Your mind flashedâ
Cameron.
The field.
The crowd.
âAnd more importantlyâŠâ Lando added, voice lower,
ââŠthe way people worship winners.â
Silence.
âSo he made a deal, a deal the soldier couldnât refuseâŠ
âŠgive him strength, fame, power, and much moreâŠâ
The red figure stood on a throne, with red people bowing before him.
âThe deal was too good to refuse. The soldier took it, not knowing that heâd be giving up his humanity as well. â
Your eyes widened.
âAnd Bleu?â you asked quietly.
Lando looked at the blue form.
For a second, something softer crossed his face.
ââŠHe stayed too.â
A pause.
âHe wasnât drawn to power.â
His voice slowed slightly.
âNot like Red was.â
The blue form flickeredâ
less aggressive.
But not calm.
JustâŠcontained.
âHe was drawn to life,â Lando said. âEmotion. Connection. The way humans feel things so intenselyâŠâ
A beat.
ââŠBut that doesnât make him harmless.â
Your eyes flicked up.
Lando let out a breath.
âHe feels everything stronger,â he said. âEvery emotion. Every impulse.â
His hand clenched slightly on the table.
âAnd that includes hunger.â
The blue form pulsed.
Subtly.
Unsettling.
âHeâs learned control,â Lando added quickly. âMy familyâŠweâve adapted. Weâve had generations to manage it.â
Another pause.
âBut that doesnât mean itâs easy.â
His jaw tightened.
âThere are moments where it pushes.â
A beat.
âWhere it wants more.â
Your stomach dropped.
ââŠMore what?â
Lando didnât answer directly.
And that told you enough.
The room felt colder.
ââŠWhen colonizers came,â he continued after a moment, his tone shifting again, âBleu made a deal with a soldier as well, ended up on a ship.â
The image changedâ
water.
Chains.
Bodies.
ââŠto America.â
Your chest tightened.
âHe didnât know Red followed.â
Silence.
Thenâ
Lando looked at you.
âRedâs lineâŠleads to Cameron. The deal insured that their bloodline would have his power pass down.â
Everything in you stilled.
âWaitâso youâre sayingâŠâ
The figures dissolved instantly.
Gone.
âYouâre saying both of your families have justâŠbeen carrying these things?â
Lando nodded.
âAfter the war, Red hid deep inside that soldier,â he said. âHealing him. Using him.â
His jaw clenched.
âPlanning.â
He leaned back slightly.
âWhen Iâwhen weâsaw Cameron on East CampusâŠâ
A pause.
ââŠI had to hold him back.â
Your brows furrowed.
ââŠHim?â
ââBleu.â
âYou named him Bleu?â you cut in.
A voice answeredâ
not his.
âNot my fault I canât remember my name.â
You blinked.
Lando smacked the side of his headâ
and immediately winced.
âYeah, great, that hurts me too,â he muttered.
Despite everythingâ
you laughed.
Brief.
Uncontrolled.
Then the tension snapped back into place.
Lando leaned forward again.
ââŠDuring class, we felt it,â he said.
âThe moment you walked in.â
Your chest tightened.
âWe realized what Bleu has been looking for.â
His eyes softened.
âWhy he brought me here.â
Your mind flashedâ
The crowd.
Cameron revealing you.
Landoâs expression that day.
âHe brought me to you,â Lando said quietly.
A beat.
âWe were always supposed to find each other.â
Your heart skipped.
ââŠHow can you be so sure?â
Lando exhaled slowly.
âBecause Iâve felt it for years.â
He looked at you.
âI didnât even know Bleu was part of me until I turned twelve.â
Your breath caught.
âThat was right after you left.â
A pause.
âAnd ever since thenâŠâ
His voice softened.
ââŠevery time I thought about you, something pulled.â
Another beat.
âI just didnât understand it back then.â
You swallowed hard, closing your eyes and attempting to process the information.
You opened them, âSoâŠwhat happens now?â

Bonnie transported back to her base, being greeted by lower ranking coven members.
She made her way to the bar where she was met with,
âYou took your time getting back.â The lady said, drinking some wine. Bonnie rolled her eyes, âCade called for a meeting back in his world, we took theââ
ââCloaking spell off of the girl?â The lady said. Bonnie nodded, waving her hand and the bottle floated, pouring a shot of bourbon.
She rolled her eyes, muttering a âFinally. That beast has been working the girls out.â Bonnie drank the shot, wincing a bit at the burning sensation in her throat.
âI got a job for you though,â Bonnie swung the barstool from side to side. The lady quirked a brow, âAs inâŠ?â
âWe gotta watch his girl, something about an opposition trying to take her from him. I told him Iâd send my best outâand thatâs you.â
The lady rolled her eyes, âWhatâs the use of a locator spell if I have to go out to the human world?â She said the words âhuman worldâ with great distaste.
âHeâs paying big for this one, all you gotta do is sit there and watch her.â Bonnie said.
The lady didnât budge, crossing her arms and facing the other way instead.
Bonnie sighed,
She thought for a second and waved her hand, from the bar, out came an aged bottle. She motioned the bottle to pour a glass, and levitated the glass toward the lady.
The glass nudged the ladyâs cheek, the lady tried not to laugh.
âYou know Iâm still older than you right?â Bonnie said, grinning a bit,
The lady cracked a smile as well accepting the glass, âYou donât have to remind me, sister.â
Bonnie poured another shot.
They hugged each other, âIâll send you the details soon, I have some work to do. I trust youâll take this assignment seriouslyâ. Bonnie drank the shot and set the cup down.
She playfully rolled her eyes, âLove you too Bonbon.â
Bonnie smiled,
âLove you too Prudence.â
Bonnie teleported out of the bar area to her office.
Prudence laughed to herself, shaking her head,
âThe things you do for family.â
And with that, Prudence took another sip of her favorite drink.

LMBYS UPDATEEE
Thank you all for reading Chapter 5!
Iâm pretty sure Iâm out of my writerâs block/funk, so for my Double Trouble readers, Iâll be posting a new chapter this week.
I recently watched Mid90s, I skate as well so I really loved the movie. I noticed thereâs not a lot of fanfics on it so I was thinking about writing one myself.
After the new Double Trouble chapter is out, let me know, should I write a chapter for Dark!Mid90s x Fem!OCReader, make another chapter for Double Trouble, or make another chapter for Let Me Be Your Savior? Let me know down below:
Should IâŠ
Write the mid90âs fanfic (it will be dark)
Focus on another Double Trouble Chapter

Ch. V
The room was tense, even with the lack of lighting, you could tell Cameronâs dark eyes were boaring into your soul. Your breath caught in your chest when he asked the question. The tension in the room was so thick you could probably cut it with one of the broken shards of glass from earlier this evening. Cameron swayed a little bit, and you noticed a wine bottle in his hand.
âHeâs someone from my class. Heâs new,â you said, trying to even out your voice but failing miserably. He just nodded his head, giving out a dry laugh, he approached you closer and you backed up into a wall of the room, âFor someone whoâs new, he sure seems interested in youâ. His lust-filled eyes raked over your frame in the sleepwear Elsie had given you. His fingers lightly traced your face (and you tried your best not to flinchâŠyou had learned when Cameron would get quiet like this, he was unpredictable).
âSo beautifulâŠâ he said, tracing your lips, all of a sudden, he grabbed your neck. âDo you think Iâm stupid y/n?â you fervently shook your head no, he then squeezed your neck even harder and got close to your ear, âYou want to answer again how you know him?â you could smell the alcohol on his breath with that same familiar metallic smell. You started to claw at his hand, you could feel your feet lift off the ground as his dark eyes bored into your own. You were trying to struggle out of his grip but he didnât let up, you started seeing black dots form before he finally let you go. You slid down the wall, your throat burning for oxygen, you coughed and watched him as he stared down at you. He pulled out his phone and your blood ran cold,
It was a picture of you and Lando, outside of the campus building, looking down at you with those eyes. He swiped again and another was of you and Lando on the field laughing. It seemed harmless at the beginning, Lando looked close,
and from this angle, he looked a little too close.
Cameron got down low to be at eye level with you, âLike I said, do you think Iâm stupidâŠ?â You shook your head, âBaby I promise you, heâs just a new student, yesterday was literally his first day,â you told (more like begged) him so that heâd understand. He grabbed a file on top of a nearby dresser,âAh yes,â he started, âLando Johnson, transferred from Hawkins University to Bringston University to San Antonio Universityâhm, this guy doesnât quitâŠperfect grades, perfect baseball skills, blah blah blah same old All-American bullshitâ. He rolled his eyes, throwing the file somewhere and had his phone back in hand.
He looked into your eyes, searching for any hint of a lie, his voice changed to a softer tone, âI believe youâ.
You looked up at him and your eyes started to water, âHow did you get that?â you said in between gasps of air. He tossed his phone mindlessly on the bed, âI mean you heard what Isaiah said, fans can do crazy things. Back in training, my mind would run crazy not knowing I couldnât be there at all times to protect you. Isaiah brought the idea of having 24/7 securityâ. Your eyes wanted to bug out of your head, how had you never noticed this? You tried thinking back to when and where security could have been watching you.
âIf youâre trying to figure out where they are, donât worry your pretty little head about it. Theyâre paid to be invisible,â he booped your nose and let out a little laugh.
âI almost thought you cheated on me, I knew you wouldnâtâ.
You looked up at him, your eyes welling with tears â...you really think Iâd do that to you? After all weâve been through?â. Your voice broke at the last part of your sentence. Did Cameron really think youâd do that? You and him have been dating since high school for fucks sake. His dark eyes softened along with his voice, âHey, baby, Iâm sorryâŠIâm sorry.â he said. He gently placed his arms on you, soothing you. Despite your anger at his audacity, you couldnât help but melt in his arms. After giving you a few moments to let it out, a silence fell in the living room.
âI didnât mean it like that baby,â Cam started, and he sounded like his old genuine self. âI just donât trust other people, you feel me? You heard what Isaiah was talking about at dinner. I just wouldnât want someone to try and get close to you and potentially harm youâ. He went to rub your cheek but you pulled back. You looked away from him, you couldnât bear to look at him at this moment, this personality switch was starting to give you whiplash. He continued on, âYouâre so beautiful, your personality lights the room when you walk in. Youâve helped me get through tough times, I donât know what Iâd do if I lost you. I wouldnât want anyone taking such a beautiful angel from meâ. His eyes were lowered to the ground, you brought your hand to the side of his face, raising it. You looked up at him, âThatâs not going to happen, you know that. I only love you.â you assured him. âWhat we have is real, I donât want the world to ruin that once we go public,â he said, caressing your face.
âBut Cameron,â you started, âthis isnât rightâŠthere are other ways we can talk about things we have an issue with--â âDo you think those other ways have been effective?â He raised his voice, Iâve tried talking to yo ass about us going public--yes thereâs risks to your safety, but you donât think Iâll have the means of taking care of that?â he looked at you. You threw your hands up, "And howâŠhow would you take care of it? What if Iâm on campus-or even out with friends and someone tries to harm meââ
âIâd kill them in a heartbeat,â he said with no hesitation.
That stopped you in your tracks, you scanned his face just to make sure you heard him properly, âSo youâd kill for me?â You asked him. He leaned in close to you, his voice getting low with a ragged edge to it,
âIâd burn the whole world if it kept you warmâ.
Your breath had caught in your throat, all you could do was stay silent, especially with the blazing intensity of Camâs stare.
âButâŠitâs not just thatâŠâ you continue, I donât want my achievements or future ventures being overshadowed by my involvement with you. I want to be able to work for the things I want, not just have them handed to meâ.
âOh give me a fucking break y/nâŠwhen are you gonna wake up and join the real world? Not the one surrounded by your books and labs and college campus. You wonât be able to get far if you donât have the proper connections anyways. Youâll just be something they undervalue and use, casting you to the side after theyâve sucked you dry for all your worthâor all they think youâre worthâ. Your eyes filled with tears, you shook your head, âThatâs not true,â you choked out, but he wouldnât let up. âAnd by the time youâve figured youâre worth more than what they thoughtâŠitâll already be too late. Youâll be drained out of your mind wondering where it all went wrong. You think theyâll promote you before they promote a Molly or Becky? Wake the fuck upâ. He spat. Your tears started to come down, you swallowed down a sob that threatened to come out.
âButâŠâ he said, his tone softened, âhaving my name will open doors for you, I hope you can see that sooner rather than later. You think your mom worked so hard to watch some white guy not realize the potential before him? Iâm doing this because I love you baby. Understand?â You stayed silent, only nodding your head. âGimme a kiss,â he said. You gave him a quick smooch out of spite, but he gripped your chin and deepened the kiss. The kiss didnât feel like one of love, only possession, lust, and a domineering aura that oozed from the kiss.
âLetâs go to sleep, you canât miss your 9am micro lecture right? Yvonne and Erica are definitely not gonna be on time with how many Cutwaters she drank tonight,â he laughed as he carried you to the bed. You looked at him when he said that last part,
he told you that with a purpose, he wasnât just watching you,
he was also watching your friend and classmates too.
It was a reminder that anyone was reachable, especially the people closest to you.
âLet me use the bathroom first,â you said, quickly getting up before he could even respond. You went to the bathroom and looked in the mirror at where he choked you. You stifled a sob, you were for sure going to have a bruise there. Your eyes looked red and tired, and your dark circles looked darker than usual, mostly due to the stress from school and Cameron. You splashed some water on your face before coming back to the bed.
You tried to scootch further away, he pulled you back to him. You could feel something poking your butt and you silently prayed you wouldnât have to have sex with him tonight. You were mentally and emotionally drained after today. His breathing was steady as he played with your ear piercings before falling asleep.
You couldnât sleep though. The events of tonight were not something you could just brush off. When Cameron got mad, it scared you, you could barely be in the same room with him when heâs madâitâs as if his temper suffocates you. And you know that he was not lying about killing someone for you. What he did to that poor boy tonightâyou couldnât imagine what Cameron would have done if Isaiah never stepped in.
And Isaiah and Elsie too, the way they were so casual about it all--as if Cameron didnât beat that poor boy near to death--was this their rich people norm? Would this be your new norm? You ran the convo over of Cameron saying how life would be easier if your relationship went public. No more running off to the bathroom when Cameron would quickly call from training or away games while you were at school, no more hiding your smile when heâd send you good morning texts. Financially, youâd be free too, no more bank loans, and work study, you know Cameron wouldnât let you stress yourself out like that. Also, it was killing you not to tell Yvonne, she knew you best and could definitely tell youâre hiding something, she would press, but when you wouldnât let up, her mouth would form a tight line and nod once, changing the subject right after.
Maybe hiding this was taking a toll on Cameron, youâd see post game interviews of the Saviors players talking about how they couldnât wait to see their lovers after the game. Maybe this was something Cameron wanted to share as well. To be fair, you were putting your needs above his in this situation, when itâs a relationship youâre both involved in. Maybe you were overreacting the whole thing. But Cameron putting his hands on you was definitely something new. In the years youâve both been together, heâs never put his hands on you til now. You were at a crossroads with it, you love Cam, and he loved you, you knew how much he went through with his father passing away early in his life. It changed him and his family forever, and you could tell. He still had that sparkle in his eyes, but there were times when he was stressed with football, he became distant. It was as if there was a void in his presence that came whenever he was mad or frustrated. Maybe itâd stop after going public.
You made a decision; youâd start off by telling Yvonne, praying it wouldnât slip out to others just yet. You just had to test the waters and see how well Yvonne would take you lying to her for the last 3 and a half years of your collegiate career.
You wanted to do it somewhere private, somewhere not even his security could find you both (you made a mental note to watch out for who they could be on campus). You checked your phone and it was 4:30 am, you decided to close your eyes to try and get a few hours of sleep.
But that feeling from earlier still stirred in you--one you couldnât shake off. It was from Cameron saying heâd kill for you,
Something that should have shocked you instead gave you a warm feeling of safety.
And that was what ultimately kept you up at night.
___________________________________________
You woke up to Cameron giving you kisses on your head, he carried you out to the bathroom. You were still groggy from the little sleep you obtained last night. âYou sleep good baby?â Cameron asked, his morning voice filling up the room. You nodded, you were half-sleep half coherent.
You leaned in and gave him a kiss, he deepened it, biting your bottom lip. You allowed him entrance and he happily took it, your tongues mixed together, trying to find any spot of sensitivity and make its mark. You were both starting to breathe heavy, but you pulled back, looking at the time. It was 6:30am, and you knew if you were to continue these activities youâd for sure be late. âI have class babe, and you know weâre far out from the cityâ, you told him, hoping he wouldnât blow up about it. He just huffed, âKeep teasing me like that we might have to send your teacher a doctorâs note,â he laughed. He seemed in a good mood, that was good.
He carried you to the bathroom, to your surprise, there was a hot shower already started. âCan I join you?â he asked softly, you took a moment to think, before eventually nodding. You both stripped, with you entering first and him following after. The water was just the right temperature, near to scorching hot. The steam filled the room as you both washed each other, it felt like old times, when you would sneak over to Camâs on the nights he couldnât sleep or think about anything. The morning after, youâd both shower together to not draw any suspicion to there being two showers going on back to back (it was really because you and Cam were freaked the fuck out teenagers).
You faced the showerhead, instantly relaxing from the hot water, washing the soap and memories of last night away. You felt Cameronâs presence behind you, his hands caressing your body slowly. You could feel his breath get closer to your ear. âWish I could always have you like this,â he whispered, âyou look so beautiful babyâŠall mine,â he said while kissing your neck and shoulder. You could feel his member getting harder, he turned you so that you were facing him.
Using his height difference, he was able to place hisself in between your legs, right underneath your clit. Your breath hitched and you tried to hide your surprise, looking everywhere but him. He lifted your chin up, âLook at me,â he said softly, as soon as your eyes met his, you quite literally jumped. For a split second, Cameron was covered in blood and the shower was spewing it out, you looked down at yourself and you were covered in blood as well. Your breath hitched and you felt like you couldnât breathe.
You blinked again and everything was back to normal. âYou okay baby?â he asked. You nodded, âY-yeah, Iâm fine, guess Iâm still a little tiredâ. He caressed your cheek and engulfed your lips and his in a kiss, so tender, and gentle. You kissed him back, and he moved his member against your clit, you moaned into his mouth, lightly scratching his back, you felt him groan as he started to suck your bottom lip, feeling your body roughly.
You could feel him close to your entrance, but he stopped himself, kissing your forehead. As he pulled back you tried to steady your breathing. If the bathroom wasnât so steamy youâd have seen his pleased expression, admiring you before he finished washing.
You both stepped out, he handed you a towel and you both dried off and lotioned. You headed into the room and saw clothes laid out for you and Cameron. Laid out was a black pair of jeans, and white tank top, and a cropped leather letterman jacket. The back of it said âSaviorsâ across each shoulder, with Cameronâs number on the bottom.
You looked at the brand of the clothes and it was from some designer you couldnât even pronounce. Cameron soon stepped out, âElsieâs assistant brought them in, I told Isaiah your sizes and he got it made for you,â he explained. âWow,â you said, looking at the clothes, âeverythingâs so expensive,â you said looking at him. He laughed lightly, âYouâll get used to it,â he said.
Cameron pulled out a jewelry box, âOpen it,â he said. You opened it to see Chanel earrings, a matching necklace, and a Movado watch. Your eyes nearly bugged out of their sockets, Movado watches were very expensive. Your dad had bought one for you mom after engaging (little did you know about the loan he took out to get it for her). âA gift from Elsie and Isaiah, they wanted to welcome you to the familyâ. You were speechless, you tried handing the box back to him, âC-Cam, I canât take thisââ
ââYou can, and you will. They wonât take no for an answerâespecially Elsie. They flew out last night and arrived this morning straight from Italyâ. He took out the necklace, and was about to place it around your neck. You noticed two letters on it, âWhat do the letters stand for?â He smiled, âYou donât recognize it?â You shook your head.
âItâs your future initials,â he said, âY/n Cadeâ. Your smile faltered a little bit, but you still kept it. You should be thankful for the situation youâre in, not many people got this opportunity. âGimme a kiss,â he said, and your lips crashed together. Your phone buzzed and the time was 7:35, you silently cursed. âShit, weâre gonna be late if we donât leave out now,â you stated, but it felt like you were asking for permission. Cameron could easily take control of the situation so you chose your words carefully.
He nodded, âThe driver should be outsideâ. You took your bath towel and his to dumb in the bathroom hamper. You noticed the small face towel you used last night, you noticed there was a brown cracked stain on the towel, and you furrowed your brows. âThe fuckâŠ?â You didnât put on much makeup, certainly nothing to make a brown stain such as this. Youâve seen this kind of stain before, one that happened when a specific substance oxidizedâŠno way this could be bâ
âBaby, the driverâs waiting on us!â He said. You snapped out of your train of thought, placing the towels in the hamper quickly so you wouldnât keep him waiting. You stepped out and he was changed, he was wearing a similar outfit. He had in the Saviors team jacket, some shades tucked onto his shirt, and black jeans with a pant chain on them. He had a similar watch to you as well.
âI should thank them,â you said as you walked out into the labyrinth of hallways, âDonât bother, theyâre already out for the day, weâll see them again sometime later,â he said. He had his arm around you as he led you to the exit. You cursed at yourself, âCammy I donât have my bookbag,â you told him, slightly pouting. Time was running and you know you wouldnât have time to grab your stuff from his apartment and then back to school.
He rubbed your arm as you both approached the car, âAwww, I havent heard you call me that in a while,â he said, kissing your forehead, âdonât worry, I have it covered,â the driver standing beside the car opens the back door, what you saw made your jaw drop.
There was an iPad Pro, MacBook Pro, an Apple Watch, and AirPod Maxes on the seat, and a black and red leather bookbag next to the items, with a bow on each box. âWhaâŠwhat is all of this?â You asked, looking at him. âFor you, consider it a motivational gift to get you through graduation,â he said, looking at you. âYouâre right though, youâre so close, so why not cross the finish line? We can think about post-grad after youâre done with schoolâ.
He led you in the seat and the driver pulled off. âOpen it,â he said, handing you the MacBook. It was silver, with your name engraved right below the Apple logo, there was also a case to go with it as well. You placed it in the book bag and he handed you another box, the iPad. You unboxed it and placed a black case on it, as you were about to put it in your new bookbag, you found an Apple Pencil in there. You set it up and charged it on the iPad, each with your name engraved on it. As he handed you the Apple Watch, he said, âSet it up later, the Movado looks good on you,â he said. You nodded and placed it in your bag, opening the Airpod Max headphones. They were a custom designed, (describe whatever your dream headphones would look like).
After placing everything in your bag, you were already at school. The driver was going to step out and opened the door, you told him, âNo need,â before looking back at Cam, who had a flicker of disappointment spread across his face. You gave him a kiss and opened the door, âCall me as soon as youâre out okay?â You nodded and both said I love you. You closed the door behind you and walked to the student center doors. You noticed the car hadnât left yet, maybe it would leave by the time you got into the building.
âââââââ-/in the carâŠ/âââââââââ-
Cameron watched you walk in, as the door closed, he got on the phone with someone, only saying 3 words, âDrop the cloak,â he said, before hanging up.
ââââââ-/on campus/ââââââââââ-
You spotted Yvonne and she spotted you, âThere you are loca, thought youâd be late again today,â she joked. âHey, we need to talk,â you both quickly hugged and she could sense your urgency. âHey are you okay?â She asked and gave you a once-over, âholy shit nice outfit, you finally go on that sugar daddy website I told you about?â She wiggled her eyebrows. You grabbed her arm, âNot now, itâs important,â you dragged her through the student center, trying to find an empty study room.
âRelax, if youâre jittery about the exam weâve been studying for, he moved it a few days up. Also whenâd you get that Saviors jacket I didnât know they had that styleâhey not too hard I like this limb!â She whined as she was dragged by you. You were out of luck trying to find an empty room. You settled for a sitting down at the cafe, no one was really there and you suspected that no one would listen.
âAlright,â you said as you both sat down, ânow I know Iâve been keeping this from you, and I just wanna start off and say Iâm really sorry,â you said looking at her. She furrowed her brows, âif itâs about the sugar daddy website you know I wonât judgeââ
ââ-Yvonne, no! Itâs not that! Itâs just thatâŠI have a boyfriendâ. She pfft at you, âHell I knew that much, but I never knew why you always hid himââ she leaned in closer and whispered, ââoh shit is he your side dick?â You shook your head no. âMy boyfriendâŠhis name isâŠCaââ
Before you could get his name out, you heard a girl student screaming behind you, she was sitting to the right of you, facing the student center doors. You just looked at her for a second, wondering why she was screaming bloody murder and faced Yvonne again, but her attention wasnât on you anymore. âY-Yvonne? You there?â You asked, you waved your hand in front of her face, âEarth to YvonneâŠ? Hellooooo?â Soon, you heard more gasps and screams of excitement behind you. âWhat the fuck is with everyone today?â As you turned to look behind you, your mouth dried,
Cameron was at the student center entrance staring right at you.
Students flocked to him, holding out papers for autographs and their phones to record him. You swallowed, forcing yourself to break eye contact first, you looked back to Yvonne but she was already up and moving, going towards Cameron as if she was in a trance. âThis canât be realâŠâ she said dreamily. âYouâre tellin me,â you said under her breath. Someone was recording him and asked him, âWhat are you doing here at our school?â
He smiled a charismatic smile, the same one you see him put on in interviews and when heâs with fans, you knew it wasnât his genuine smile, he was putting on a show. âI actually came to drop something off for my girlfriend,â he said, and if you didnât have melanin, youâd be sure your skin had paled. Some girls sighed in disappointment (as if they had a chance with him anyway), âWell, the same girl said, âwho is she?â Your eyes pleaded to him, âNot yet, please,â you said mentally. âSheâs actually here right now,â he said, his fans leaned in, desperate to find out who it could be.
He raised his hand up and pointed right at you, slowly, everyone, including Yvonne, turned and faced you. You tried to control your breathing, all eyes and phones on you made you feel singled out. You looked back at Cameron, he looked at you and his eyes said a message, âSmile,â he mouthed. You finally put together a smile, looking at everyone. âHi everyone,â you gave a small wave. Whispers erupted amongst the crowd,
âSheâs in my labâ
âI donât think Iâve ever seen her beforeâ
âSheâs in McCarthyâs lecture right?â
âHow did she even bag him?â
âShe is prettyâ
âThat was supposed to be yo damn daddyâ
âShe goes to this school?â
You looked at them and then looked at Cameron, you blinked and what happened earlier occurred again. Everyone around Cam were groveling before him. He sat on a throne, wearing a bloody Saviors uniform. They chanted his name, flashing pictures at him and worshipping him. In the vision, he looked at you and held his hand out for you to take.
You blinked, harder, longer, trying to get your mind out of that. You opened your eyes and you were back at school, the crowd had made way for you to walk up to him. You didnât notice that your legs picked themselves up and moved toward him. He wrapped his arm around you and looked down at you, âI forgot to give you your laptop charger. Thought I put it in your bag,â he handed a box to you, everyone awwâd, including Yvonne and you had to use every muscle in your body to stop yourself from rolling your eyes. âThanksâŠbaby,â you said awkwardly, he subtly squeezed your arm and you smiled wider, âwhat would I do without you?â You said. Everyone awwâd again,
âTheyâre so cute togetherâ
âThey make the perfect coupleâ
âTheir like BeyoncĂ© and Jay-Zâ
He kissed your forehead and the flashes from cameras flickered faster and faster. As he pulled away, you noticed a figure off in the distance,
Lando.
His jaw ticked and he walked away. You wanted to go after him and straighten things out, reviewing the situation you were wrong from not telling him you at least have a boyfriend. After a few more seconds, âOkay people,â Yvonne yelled out, âitâs 8:57 and my best friend and Iâyeah, best friend and I have class, so skidaddleâ. She waved them off. Camâs security popped up out of nowhere and made them back away as well.
âSo youâre the famous Yvonne,â Cameron said, holding his hand, she shook his hand, âAnd youâre the famous boyfriend sheâs been hiding, never thought sheâd keep a secret like this from me,â she said. âDonât blame her, we were trying to get a right time to go public. Honestly we were gonna do it after graduation,â he lied. You looked at her, âItâs not like I didnât wanna tell you,â she slightly rolled her eyes, âyou donât think I can keep a secret?â âOf course I do! I was justâŠscared. I didnât want people to only be my friend or to get opportunities because of my relationship, I wanted to do it organicallyâ. She huffed, âYou do have a point, if you werenât my best friend Iâd probably be mad at you way longer,â she smirked. You both hugged, âSo youâre really not mad?â you asked Yvonne, to which she shook her head. âOf course not, I got your back, alwaysâ.
âWe should get going though, McCarthyâs gonna blow a gasket if youâre late again,â she said. You looked at him and he let you go, âSee you after school today baby,â he said, âLove you,â you said, walking away with Yvonne.
You guys made it just in time, the teacher powered on the projector and started talking about the chapter. You pulled out your iPad and got to work on downloading the lecture slides and writing down notes. The door opened and closed, someone slipped into the seat next you. âMr. Johnson Iâll pretend I didnât see you,â McCarthy said before going back to the lecture. You looked at Lando sitting next to you and your eyes widened.
âLando, Iâm so sorââ
âDonât worry, I get it,â was all he said.
You whispered, âI never said anything because I didnât want people to only befriend me because of it, itâs not like I didnât want to keep it a secret forever, I justââ
âY/n,â he put his hand on your arm, âI promise, I get itâ. You looked at the arm he had on you and quickly pulled away, âI canât, heâs watching me. Iâm not even supposed to be speaking to you right nowââ
ââMiss (last name)! If you could save your conversation for after my lecture it would be very appreciated thank youâ. He said, clearly frustrated. You both leaned back in your seats and he mouthed, âLaterâ to which you nodded, trying to concentrate back on the lecture.
ââââââââââ/Camâs apartment/ââââââââ
âSo,â the African American woman said while pacing Cameronâs office, âwanna tell me why you needed me to take off the cloaking spell? I thought you were gonna wait longer than thatâ.
He had his feet on his desk, laid back in his seat, âGuess it was just a spur of the moment kind of thing. I mean why are you complaining? I thought it took too much energy out of you to do itâ. She nodded slowly, âTrust with why you pay my coven and I thereâs never a complaint. But I know you didnât call me here to just talk about that, so whatâs up?â
Cameron threw a file down on the table, she sat down to open and read it. âLando JohnsonâŠwhat the hell do you want with some college baseball kid?â She looked up at him perplexed.
âI need you to put a locator spell on him, thereâs somethingâŠfishy about him. I just need to see and make sure for myselfâ. He said. âDo you have any DNA of his by chance?â He lifted a brow, âThought you didnât need DNA to locate him?â She gave him a questioning look, âIsaiah told me so, he knows a lot about your spell and your kindâ. She nodded.
âIt helps for a stronger locator,â she said, âtakes less time and is less draining on my coven. Something also tells me youâre probably gonna do something else to himâ. She said, eyeing the picture of you and Lando outside of the student center.
He nodded, âThe DNA can be arranged, Iâll get security on it,â he said, smiling darklyâ. The convo seemed to be done, so the lady stood up and looked at him. âOnce you have the DNA, let me know. Iâll get one of the girls to start looking for him,â she grabbed the picture of Lando. As she made her way to the door, she said, âThe usual bank account is fine, have it wired by tonight and Iâll give you an answer tomorrowâ. He followed her out as she opened the door, âBy Cameron,â she said, closing it.
âBy Bonnieâ. Cameron said, plopping on the couch.

Hey guys! Iâm so sorry for the long wait! I had lost a family member, had to attend the funeral, then was hit with writerâs block/depression.
The catâs out of the bag! And to think we thought Cameronâs control and obsession would stop and heâd wait for y/n to let announce them and go public, but his impulses couldnât help himself. This is just the start obsessive spiral Cameron twisted himself and y/n in.
Bonnieâs finally in the story! Thereâs more to come with her and her involvement with Camâs control over y/n and his worshipers fans, I just had to give her a prelude into the story an finally figured out how I wanted to do it.
Let me know what yâall think! Please like and comment, I notice your comments and I love reading them! They do help a lot.
Until next time,

Your eyes were ready to bug out of your head, the one and only Isaiah White stood before you and Cameron. He held a proud smile on his face as he looked at Cameron and you, like a father looking at his son bringing home a prom date. Isaiahâs eyes finally fell on you, âSo youâre the one who stays rent free in his head,â he said. You stuck your hand out, âItâs an honor to meet you Mr. White--â he lightly pushed your hand to the side and gave you a hug, âNonsense, hearing âmisterâ makes me feel âunc-ifiedââ he laughed which made you crack a smile. âItâs an honor to meet you too, y/n. Call me Isaiah,â He said bringing you in for a hug.
It was a surreal moment seeing Isaiah in the flesh. You both came from the same community, the kind of community that ran rampant with drugs, crime, poverty and hunger. You can recount on childhood days where you didnât know if you would be eating that night or if Santa would bring home Christmas presents. There were others when you and your family would move shelter to shelter until the 7th grade. Your father was able to get a stable job, you moved to a better side of town and ended up in the same high school district as Cam.
Someone came from one of the many corridors of the compound, a white woman with stark platinum blonde hair and eyebrows gasps, coming over to you all. Her appearance at first catches you by surprise, luckily she didnât seem to notice. âSo this is the famous y/n we hear so much--hi baby--â she gives Isaiah a quick kiss, â--about!â she brings you in for a big hug, rocking you side to side. As you hug her, youâre facing Cameron only and furrow your brows, wondering who this was, he quietly mouths âwifeâ and you un-forrow your brows in understanding.
âOmg, where are my manners! I am Elsie, I typically stay out of Isaiahâs limelight and do my own thingâ. Thatâs when it hit you, she was social media famous, you had scrolled on Tiktok in the past and seen some of her reviews on products or for her many different care lines. âDinner should be ready by now,â Isaiah stated, and they walked hand in hand, leading you and Cameron through the compound to the dining room.
Isaiah and Cam sat at each end while you and Elsie sat by your respective partners on their right, meaning you were seated across from her. Food was served promptly, you quickly said grace and began eating, small talk settled at the table. Her striking eyes raked over your face and body, it made you still for a moment, as if her eyes had you locked in place. âYou lookâŠI donât even think thereâs a term to explain in EnglishâŠyou look c'est charmant! Have you ever thought of modeling?â
You blushed, âT-thank you! I typically stay out of the mix thoughâ. You could tell something shifted in Cam when you said that, as if he was disappointed in your response, you didnât want to make him look bad in front of his mentor. âAhh so youâre the reason why PRâs been working hard to keep you out of the blogs for nowâ Elsie said with amusement, âB-but I know the time will come soon,â you quickly said.
âIt can be a big shift,â Isaiah said, âespecially being involved with someone as big as Cam, having security follow you, making sure that your addresses arenât leaked, passwords arenât hijacked, death threatsâŠthe whole 75 yards. It can get some getting used toâ. âDeath threats? Security?â You asked, you thought that was only for the bigger celebrities, why would you need them following you around?
âIf thereâs anything that people love more in this country than God, itâd have to be football,â Elsie joked. âSometimes,â she continued, âfans may not like a certain team, especially the Saviors, hell with how many times Isaiah has brought home the glory thereâs been a growingâŠresentment from other opposing teams and their fans over the years. With Cameron on the rise, when people know youâre involved with him, if they canât get to him, theyâll try and get to youâ.
This made you stop chewing your food for a moment, you didnât think it could get that serious. She rolled up sleeve a bit, and you could see a faint line where a wound previously would have been. âIt was Isaiahâs first season on the Saviours team, I was launching my first skincare line and a crazed fan from the Jets flew all the way here. He approached me and tried stabbing me. Police found out it was due to Isaiah tackling one of the members of their team. I thought having some cheap security at the door was just enough, but after that, I either never leave the compound or Iâm with security at all times. After some blood and a few stitches later, it makes for a cool war scarâ. She smiled sadly.
âIâmâŠIâm so sorry, people are sick in this worldâ. You finally said. âThe past is the past, better to move forward, sometimes I barely notice itâ. You showed a supportive smile to her and sipped on your water. âSo,â Elsie started again, âwhen are you planning on having kids?â This one made you choke on your water, âWâŠwhat?â you said in between gasps of air. âI thought you was handlinâ that Cam,â Isaiah said, âyâall are still young, by the time you get ring number 2 you could be on your 3rd child,â he joked.
You wanted to jump off of a cliff at that moment, you curled your toes in your heels and applied pressure praying the topic would move to something else.
âThatâsâŠif you can get your firstâ. Isaiahâs voice held the same steadiness, but something ever so slightly shifted in his demeanor, like the calm before the storm. Cameron looked up, âI will,â he said with determination in his voice.
âNot from what Iâm hearing, Coach tells me that you werenât focused at practice today,â Camâs jaw clenched slightly, âI was focused,â he defended, Isaiah was cutting his meat with slight aggression at his response.
Cameron started, âI threw the ball off the field one time and--â Isaiah slammed his cutlery on his food, âThrowing a ball off the field like that was probably the reason why Buchanan was 5 yards short of a touchdown during the first offseason scrimmageâ. Isaiah interjected.
âKeep your focus. When youâre focused, the team is focused. And if they choose not to beâŠyou know what to doâ. You looked at Cameron, he was damn near gripping his fork and knife, he looked back at his plate but said nothing, but you could see his chest rise and fall deeply. You knew he was ticked off.
Isaiah shifted his focus back to you, âSo what do you do y/n? Must be boring cooped up in a penthouse all day while Camâs at trainingâ. You slowed your chewing and swallowed, âA-actually, Iâm in schoolâŠI graduate this semesterâ. He grinned, âSounds like we got a scholar on our hands, I take it you go to San Antonio University?â
âThe one and only sirâ. âGo Saints!â His voice boomed unexpectedly, it made you slightly jump but you tried playing it off with a smile and an awkward laugh. You took a bite of food, âAny plans after?â Elsie asked you, and this made you stop chewing for a moment. You took the time to swallow, having an internal debate on if you should reveal your internship opportunity or keep it to yourself.
âJust gonna go with the flow, see where the wind takes me. I know there are a lot of research opportunities out there post-grad--â â--And thereâs no reason to rush into a decision too soon after you graduate,â Cameron chimed in, looking at you with a warm smile grabbing hold of your hand and rubbing your knuckles. Elsie smiled, âawwâ-ing at the affectionate gesture, putting her hand up to her chest.
The conversations flowed but your head was elsewhere. Dinner was pretty much over but you lost your appetite a long time ago.
âIâm surprised you havenât put a ring on it yet Cam, with an educated woman at your side and all of the sharks in the sea, someone could try and take a bite outta her,â she joked. Cameron smirked, âItâs definitely in the worksâ. Elsie got up and squealed, clapping her hands excitedly, with Isaiah giving Cameron a pat on his back. You were pretty much stagnant, you were there but not really there, you plastered a smile on your face while you sunk back to the depths of your subconscious.
Were you really ready to hold the title of Mrs. Cameron Cade? Especially with his reputation association to Isaiah, you feared that could overshadow your achievements and career pursuits. You didnât want to be handed anything, like you were in the mall, you wanted to work for it. Something about seeing actual effort and hard work pay off was like a drug that motivated you to wake up every morning and fight for what you wanted to achieve.
âThis calls forâŠa toast. Wine!â Elsie yelled. One of the servers came in with a bottle of wine while another came in with wine glasses. âOh um, I-I canât drink tonight, I have early morning lab tomorrow--â âWe donât want to be rudeâŠright baby? One glass wonât hurt you,â Cameron said. His eyes pierced into yours, he had grabbed hold of your hand again, but this time, giving it a very firm squeeze. âO-of courseâŠone glass wonât hurt,â you said quietly.
âA toastâŠto love, happiness, and success,â Elsie raised her glass, you all raised your glasses and toasted. You hesitated to put your lips to the glass but ultimately did, as you saw Cameronâs eyes on you. As you took a sip, you noticed the taste was a bitâŠoff. The crimson liquid was thicker than you presumed wine would be like, it tasted slightly metallic with a hint of sweetness, almost like bloâ
CRASH!
The second waiter who put the glasses down started picking up the plates. As he picked up your plate, he accidentally knocked your glass of wine over, spilling all over your dress. You gasped, it happened so quickly, the room was silent for a beat until Cameron pushed himself out of his seat.
He roughly grabbed the waiter by his collar, âWhat the HELL is wrong with you?! You thought you could get some kick out of embarrassing her? Do you know how much that fucking dress cost?â The waiter, who looked to be in his early 20âs was a nervous, stuttering mess, âI-I Iâm so sorry Mr. Cade, I was b-being c-careless and I d-didnât know it would--â
Cameron threw him to the ground like he was a sack of potatoes. The dishes fell and clattered to the floor, smashing into pieces. You got up to interject, âBaby itâs okay, he didnât kno--â You looked at him ready to protest, but his eyes darkened as they stared back at you, nonverbally telling you to âsit back downâ. You looked toward Isaiah and Elsie, who seemed to do nothing but stare as the scene took place.
With the altercation going on, you didnât seem to notice the dark glint that Cameron had in his eye, one that Elsie and Isaiah shared as well. He started to punch him and hearing the sounds his fist made with the waiterâs face made you yelp and cover your mouth. Isaiah finally got up and put a hand on his shoulder. Cameron ceased his punching but kept his hands on his bloodied collar.
âBe glad *pant* my lady is here, because *pant* if she wasnât I would personally make sure youâd spend the rest of your life eating your food through a straw and living off of a breathing tubeâ. He then faced the waiterâs face towards you, âThank herâŠtell her thank you y/nâ Cameron commanded.
You couldnât help the way your face contorted in horror at the grotesque image in front of you. The waiterâs nose was definitely broken, his nose gushed with blood, a knot was starting to form on his forehead, and there was a black and blue spots on his left eye that were starting to form. A bloody gash on his chin was open and leaking out blood. You donât know why, but you also felt your vision blur and your body feel a rush ofâŠsomething. You couldnât put your finger on it. It was something slight that could have gone unnoticed, but your head did not feel like a drunken feeling youâd typically get from alcohol. Maybe the wine was one of those ultra-rich type of rare ones.
âT-thank you Ms. y/n,â the waiter said, his voice was choked up and it looked like he was holding back tears. He shook his head, âI canât hear youuu,â Cameron said in an eerily sing-song manner. The waiter struggled to say it louder but completed it, after Cameron was satisfied, he dropped his head and went back to his seat. He adjusted his suit and realized there was blood on it as well, âAh shit, Isaiah you still got that laundry lady out in Houston right?â he asked, as casual as ever. You were pretty sure you were visibly shaking, you even forgot about the wine that was on your clothes.
âWelp,â Isaiah said lazily, âweâll have them clean this mess up. Since itâs getting pretty late letâs call it a night. Cam, you remember the way to the room you stayed in right?â Cameron nodded. The battered server stood up, facing Isaiah. âYouâre dismissed,â Isaiah said, not even looking at him, and to your surprise, the waiter responded, âTh-thank you sir, itâs s-such an honor,â and limped away.
You felt your blood run cold when you realized you wouldnât be back in the city tonight. Your phone clocked 2:30, it had been that long? You piped up, âWeâre spending the night? I-I donât have extra clothes, and I have class and a quiz tomorrowââ
âNonsense!â Elsie said, âOne of the drivers will take you back, I have bunch of clothes here you can use, pick your poison and itâs yours. Here,â she stood up and came to you (trying her hardest not to get blood on her heels) âfollow me. Iâm sure the men have things to discussâ. She took your hands into hers and led you out of the dining area.
You walked along the dark corridors until you finally came to a room full of clothing that was hung up. âAre you a Gucci gal or do you lean more towards Prada?â You held your mouth open in awe at the extensive collection, there were brands such as Christian Dior to HermĂ©s, Yzy, Chanel, and even more brands that were miles above your tax bracket and you couldnât even announce.
Elsie looked back at you, âLetâs go with Louis Vuittonâ. She handed you a silky lace nightgown. You held it and you could tell it felt expensive. âKeep it, I plan on reorganizing this place once I get new spring collectionsâ.
She noticed you still in awe, âMight be wondering how I got here, especially the amount of success I accomplished in a few years. To say itâs easy would be blatantly lying to youâŠthat is, unless you know you want something bad enough. In this life,â she said, fully facing you now, âyou have to make decisions that may not always align with how you initially envisioned, but if you want something bad enoughâŠnothing and no one can possibly stand in your way. Understand?â You nodded, you didnât know quite what she meant but it resonated with you regardless. The walk to Cameronâs room was silent.
You stood outside the door, âThank you for the night gown Elsie, good night,â and with that, you went in. Cameron wasnât back yet with Isaiah, and you were honestly relieved for that. You donât know whatâs gotten into him, but he was definitely not the same. He seemed more aggressive and combative, his fuse was short and it seemed that as time went on, the fuse was getting shorter. Especially what he did to that poor boy, his face flashed across your mind and made you shudder.
You remembered you still had wine on you and made your way over to the bathroom. You washed the wine in your hands and dried it with a hand towel. You threw the slightly reddish towel into a hamper before undressing. Luckily there was already a second set of bathing items there. You took a hot shower, making sure to scrub every part of you until your skin felt raw.
You dried off and lotioned, putting on the lace dress. It felt like second skin. You finally stepped out of the bathroom to see Cameron already there waiting for you. He held an unreadable expression on his face that filled your body with anxious tension. He held up your phone, in the notifications were text messages from your group chat along with a separate text message saying, âSee you soon, try not being late tomorrow, yeah?â
âSo,â Cameron started,
âWho the fuck is Lando?â
