What brought me here? A desire to collaboratively tell stories, I suppose. I fucked around in a few forums in my adolescence, but never stayed because I fucked up on the first one not knowing what godmodding was and all and on the second one, no one really wrote up to my standards.
I did tabletop RPGs throughout high school, so the thought was always there. Tumblr just sort of crystallized it for me, if you will. I enjoy writing fic, but it can get exhausting when it's just you doing all the work and I don't always have as good a grasp on other characters as I'd like. Roleplaying means I don't have to worry about that and you can develop something completely organic and beautiful out of threads that never existed in canon and fill in the gaps the way fanfiction writers do. It's arguably just as transformative.

so like two years ago I first joined tumblr and my blog happened to have a lot of Scott on it since he is my favorite and I was in the tags quite a bit. twerkingtothebaxterbuilding messaged me about playing Scott for her group and I had no idea what RP was but I thought I'd give it a shot and here I am~

The other day I was having a conversation with my other half and I shit you not, he was amazed I knew so much about Laura (not because it’s me, he knows I’m a nerd - he just didn’t know the extent of my love…). You know why that is? Having you on the dash. You’re not the only Laura I follow, but between the two of you I’ve learned so damn much about her. Her story is just so tragic and beautiful, I adore how you write her and what we’ve done together means a lot to me and Selina, I kind of feel a strong protective urge around Laura - both for me and Selina.
Laura’s relationship with Remy is also very very important to me and how you portray that is just A++++. I read the series of books set in Paris when I was on Vacay last year and I was so glad to be wearing sunglasses, because otherwise a whole heap of people would have seen me cry.
Thank you for bringing Laura to my attention, thank you for doing what you do and being on my dash and writing with me. Just thank you.
