When I was a teeny tiny little baby I was raised to be the Ultimate Christian (ultimate bigot)…. More specifically homophobic. But whenever my grandma talked about homosexuality, she always referred to gay MEN. But I liked to write about women a lot. More specifically, doomed yuri.

But the thing is. Since my grandma was teaching me to be homophobic and only talked about gay MEN, I didn’t know women …. Could BE gay. I didn’t know they knew how to DO that. So I was just like. Making a bunch of depressed sisters.

I'm reaching out humbly, on behalf of the people I stand with, to ask for support. Any donation, no matter the size, goes directly toward food and medical care for those who need it most. If you're able to give, thank you. Truly. It means more than words can say.

some days just existing as who i am feels like a fight i didn't sign up for. some days the weight of it is real and heavy and i won't dress that up. but i also know what this community has given me. people who looked at me and said you belong here. no conditions. no fine print. that changed everything.

so if you're somewhere in the middle of figuring yourself out scared, tired, not sure who's safe i see you. i was you.you don't have to perform pride to deserve it. you just have to be here. and being here is enough. you are enough.
