One of the most jarring things about the brick when I first read it was the way Victor Hugo treats it like a documentary. Like “And then he wrote a letter! And we have acquired that letter!” “And Feuilly engraved this thing on the wall! And you can still see it today!” “Have a look at this receipt we managed to get!” “And he read essays! One of those essays was written by my uncle!” “No idea what happened here, wasn’t there lol soz” He treats it like a Philomena Cunk documentary it’s hilarious
two hopeless little fools
You're not subtle inspector

Eposette (That's why I love the eposette)
Whenever I see a post about the Les Mis fandom being dead (two today. TWO), I get hit with the intense urge to yell QUIT TELLING EVERYONE I'M DEAD
Saw les mis last week and i feel the need to inform people about some enjoltaire moments 😊
- During ‘Red and Black’ when Marius sang “Had you been there tonight/You might know how it feels/To be struck to the bone/In a moment of breathless delight” I swear to all that is holy I saw Enjolras look at Grantaire.
- At the end of ‘Do you Hear the People Sing’ E saw R slightly trailing behind everyone else and went up to him and clasped his hand and pulled him into a side hug as they both walked off stage.
- We got the angsty* version of ‘Drink with Me’ fortunately/unfortunately (*E goes to hug and comfort R after his verse but R brushes him off and Gav hugs him instead) E then spends the last part of the song staring off to where R and Gav went almost trying to see if R is ok.
- When E passes Gav’s body to R he again stares at him even after R walks away. Feuilly and Courf had to shout his name and physically shake E back to his senses as the national guard gets there.
- R pulls E in for a massive hug just before E rushes up the barricade for the last time.
So yeah… here you go! Enjoltaire really owns my soul sometimes I swear 😂
