the idea of queer characters needing to be good people in order for it to be good representation is honestly really fucking stupid to me. stop expecting queer characters (and people) to be perfectly good in order to be socially acceptable as "good representation". People aren't perfect, and if we can have fucked up non-queer characters we can have fucked up queers. Let queer characters be flawed, let them be mean, let them be downright evil, because their moral positioning has nothing to do with how good the representation is. Jax is a piece of shit and that's the whole fucking point. She had every chance to be a good person and refused every time. She drove Ribbit to abstraction. She was abusive to Gangle. She constantly pushed people away. That's the point. She's a horrible person to the others but that doesn't mean she's bad trans rep because of it. Quer people are allowed to be bad people. We shouldn't be held to impossible standards, and neither should queer characters.
